Aroma: Mostly caramel, toasted, malty, sweet, dark fruits
Appearance: Clear dark reddish-copper color, thin off-white head
Flavor: Sweet and malty, similar to the nose, minimal hop presence
Palate: Medium body
Overall Impression:
This is a nice beer, heavy on the caramel malts, and not a lot else. It is still tasty, but not overly complex or powerful.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 12, 2009 12oz bottle from Archer Liquors. Pours mahogony with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma is of malt, caramel, dark fruit, and sugar. Taste is of malt, caramel, and dark fruit. It also has a lot of sugar too it as well. Mouthfeel is very carbonated and it is medium bodied. Lingering biscuity malt taste. I’m still not even sure how to rate an alt. It does taste rather thin and bland. Decent. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 11, 2009 sample at brewery Clear copper with a hint of red. Thin tan head. Light sweet caramel aroma with a mild spice way in the background. Mostly light palate. Very light caramel notes, slight sour turn at the end. Not a whole lot of flavor, but a nice Kolsch.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Clear and dark copper on the pour with a short, off-white head with spotty lacing. The aroma was lots of malt, toffee sweetness and some hints at tart fruit. The flavor is tons of malt, toffee and some faint coffee with the same tart apple that I noticed in the aroma. Thin body. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 28, 2009 Somewhat of a dark brown color. Not much of a head to speak. Big toasted malty aroma. Very pungent aroma. Toffee aroma that is ok, but not the greatest. Very funky sweet caramel/toaste and toffee flavor. Not a very good beer. A somewhat of a creamy beer, but it is nothing special. This is just not my cup of beer. Hopefully, this was not a bad bottle. KnN (746), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 28, 2009 Nice rich brown color with a thin white head. Aroma was sweet malt, some nuttiness and yeast. Flavor was very crsip, yet a little sweet and malty as well. Some nice caramel and toffee notes and maybe just the slightest hop bite. Guinness4Duff (507), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2009 Bottle. Hazy copper pour with a mediumwhite head. Aroma is grainy with some maltiness and a slight hop note. Flavor has a mild caramel base with a little bitterness in the finish, a slight roasted overtone as well. Not bad. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2009 Bottle. Poured brown-amber with a foamy off-white head. Aroma was sweetly malty, nutty, and subtly chocolate. Flavor was malty, mellifluous, nutty, woody, licorice root, cinnamon, butterscotch, and floral. Palate was unfortunately bland, and the hops weren’t balanced well. Not the best alt but would’ve made an alright english brown.
