retried as the "Secret ale" I liked it a little better this time, deserves a couple points boost. topherh (936), Kearney, Missouri, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 3, 2009 From a 12oz bottle at The Flying Saucer this brew poured an amber color with a decent off white head and minimal lacing. Aroma of caramel, earthiness and some toffee. Taste was malty and earthly. Smooth. Not much in the way of hoppiness and what little was there was balanced out by the malt. I liked this beer and could easily enjoy this as a session beer. hombrepalo (777), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Poured medium brown with no head and no lacing. Flavor was malty and hoppy, but well balanced. No particular flavors stood out. Easy to drink. Medium body. Average carbonation. An easy beer to drink. I liked it better than the IPA they make. ScoWRee (276), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 31, 2009 12 oz. bottle pours a very ruddy amber, this white head. Mild biscuit-malty nose. Pretty clean and mild bitterness. Not too exciting from a wee bottle, but it could be a real quaffer on draft, whether in a pint or lots of stanges. dkachur (2388), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
