Tap at SPH. Hazy golden coloured beer. Sweet aroma of banana, some nice wheaty character in the nose. Not a lot of clove or spice. Seems a bit undercarbonated and sort of lifeless. Flavour is pretty good, medium bodied, banana and apple flavour. Lingering wheaty spice on the back. Malts seem a bit light, but it’s quite refreshing.

On tap @ the Publick house, enjoyed while talking with JoeMcPhee. Poured cloudy yellow into a shaker. Aroma is faintly wheaty and taste was too watery. This was one of those unimpressive beers served at the Publick house. They must of changed the yeast because their are no complex flavors.

Dry and highly wheaty beer. Thick pour, very cloudy, light orange body. Yeasty aroma, with strong wheat notes. This is not a very complex beer, but there are nonetheless, a variety of flavors, including lemons and breads found in this beer. Smooth and very summery.

Mostly, when I try a new wheat beer, I take a sip, sigh, and say "yup, that’s a wheat beer" - sadly, even though this is a southampton brew, I had the same experience with this one - a well-crafted wheat beer, with all the spicy, lemony, bready characteristics in all the right places is still good to drink, but will never ellicit any excitement from me - it may be going too far to say that anyone can make a good wheat beer, but it certainly seems to be a truism.

Tap at SPH. Hazy pale yellow color with a small white head. Citrus and lemon flavor with a touch of butterscotch. Aroma of citrus and malt. Light body.

Very nice version of a Bavarian weiss indeed. Must say that some elements were lost on me as I had fallen to the "kid in a candy store" excitement and coupldn’t focus on the list of beers. Though I had intentionally waited to try the Cali styled IPA suggested, I had fallen pray to the Double White and fear it had an impact on my pallet. Not enough to keep me from enjoying this though.

Draft at Half Time. Pours somewhat turbid dark straw colored with a medium white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, yeast, cloves. Tastes wheaty, yeasty, with much citrus, banana, and cloveyness at the finish. A very well made German hefe.

Tap @ Blind Tiger. A slightly hazy, golden color with smallish head. Taste is lightly spicy (pepper and coriander), bananas and cloves. Medium bodied and flavorful. Not the typical Hefe. Nice yeasty taste.
