Growler shared by beerbill. Deep brown beer with no head. Aroma is lovely. Lots of sweet banana, clove and bubble gum over the soft cocoa. Light coffee and sweet rich fruity maltiness. As it starts to warm, the beer starts to smell lightly roasty. Good balance between the yeast and the roasty stout flavours. Rich mouthfeel. I quite enjoyed this.

Bottle. Pours black with a HUGE thick chocolatey head. Aroma of sweet roasted malts, sweet dark fruits, and dark chocolate. Flavor is quite chocolatey with some sweetness in the finish. There is a definite tartness in the flavor as well. Slight light roast and a touch of smoke make their presence too. Nice and dry. The tartness was slightly off-putting, but I enjoyed this one. I’m surprised this is only 5.2%--it is quite full-bodied. A nice new beer from Southampton! 7/4/8/4/15 (3.8/5)

Growler (thanks Beerbill). Poured a dark brown color with some oily character on the glass and a thin tan head. Belgian yeast aroma with some fruity esters and spice. Dark roast malt with hints of coffee and chocolate in both the aroma and flavor. Long dry moderately bitter finish.

22oz bottle. Poured a dark, dark brown color (almost black) with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of yeast, roasty, chocolate, fruity, lightly earhty, and spices. Tastes of roast, chocolate, fruity, light cofee, and lighter spices. Medium sweet with a light bitter finish.

Bottle pours a deep black with a bubbly tan head that went away quickly. Aroma of tart cherry notes, chocolate, roasted malt, some light Belgian yeast esters and other fruity notes. Flavor of the same tart cherry meets chocolate and roasted malt. Fruity and somewhat easy drinking for a stout.

Bottle from Rciesla, thanks. Peanuty and herbal, spicy, thick and sweet, licorice, complex but very unusual. Nice black pour, good head. Sweet and vegetal flavor, again very unusual, all sorts of crazy herbal and spice flavors. Black malts and a touch of bitterness. Unusual beer, but definitely a foreign stout. Good stuff.

Bottle - thanks beerbill. Pours a very dark brown with a thick finger of tan head. Strong aroma is roasty and dry, light cocoa, and malt. Flavor is as roasty as the aroma, but adds some bitters and faint coffee. A little more cocoa. Didn’t notice the coriander until it had warmed for a while, but the yeast has that Belgian feel. Very enjoyable.

22 oz bomber. Pours a black cola with a medium light brown head. Aroma of light roasted malts, dark chocolate on the bitter side, yeast and cocoa. Taste of bitter roasted malts, chocolate, faint coffee, fruit and smoke. Has a slight charred aftertaste.
