| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 16, 2006 Bottle from Ungstrup. Hazy orange with cream colored big bubbled head. High but smooth Co2 and slick mouth feel. Spicy and buttery nose. Balanced and smooth flavor with caramel and hints of burned sugar. Very dry finish. Complex and tasty ale. The diacetyl makes it smoother, and if it is intentional, it is a masterpiece. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

Cellared since July ’05.
Clear pour of medium amber that easily hold up a thick, creamy, tan head.
Fresh candy apple aroma. Light and creamy yet a full palate, with some tartness that transforms into a dry finish. Quevillon (1538), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada

Muddy brown-orange hue with a short and frothy light khaki head. Surprisingly sweet aroma of maple syrup, brown sugar, treacle and butterscotch candies. The flavor steps a bit away from the sweetness with spicy hints and sour fruity tones. Finish is somewhat puckering and drying. Average body and rather watery though it feels a bit pumped up from the lively carbonation. beerguy101 (3971), Newark, California, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 24, 2006 Poured a hazy amber orange. A nice tart aroma of fruit A nice taste of fruit and spice. Just a slightly foamy palate but rich none the less. One of those beers at a tasting that you would like to have the whole bottle one more time to see how good it could be. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2006 Poured a slightly hazed deep copper color with a medium sized off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma pretty much says it all for the aroma. More caramel maltiness for the flavor with some yeasty notes and a hint of tart lemon. Lively mouthfeel. brentfeesh (1039), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 22, 2006 Sampled at Noogfest-II. Thanks Jay. Nice looking beer. Lightly hazy amber color with a decent head. Heavy aroma (way more than you might expect it to be) with floral and butterscotch leanings. Interesting. The flavor also exhibits butterscotch, caramel, herby light hop bitterness. Light oaky wood, and light yeast notes. The body, as I’ve noted, was very heavy for the style. Much different than I expected, but very enjoyable.
