| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 24, 2008 On tap at Zeno’s Pub.This is officially one of the weirdest beers I’ve ever had. I’ve never had flavors like this. Unfortunately, it’s not necessarily a good thing. Aroma is soft. A light, minerally soap character runs through. Artificially floral, but fine. Pours a paler amber, with a really, soft velvety soap on top in off-white. Bubbly. Flavor overwhelms in this incredible dish soap flavor. Solid, blue Dawn dish soap. Gross. I’m having trouble drinking this beer. It tastes like my childhood. Really fake and overly orange flavored. But, halfway through the pint something magical happens. This character dies down and morphs into an incredibly deep and complex, earthy rich spice. My palate grows used to this overbearing soap character and starts to pick out the delicate sandalwood notes, the fresh lemongrass and some palpable cedar. It’s earthy, woody and delightful. A fresh, juicy european hop cone balances this out over a mineral yeast profile, and lightly sweet tea-like sugar. The bottom third of the glass is for savoring. I don’t know how to interpret this. So hard to swallow at first, so delightful in finishing. Complex...confused? Interesting, regardless. And, these days, i give points to beers that make me think twice. jason (1626), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 19, 2008 Draft @ Capones. Amber color with a light head. Aroma is slightly sweet and bready. Taste is bready with some light sweetness. Surprised that I didn’t like it more, but it seemed simpler than their regular BDG and saisons. Still tasty and sessionable. corby112 (775), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is well balance with hints of malt, hops and crisp fruit. Flavor very similar being slightly watered down with a nice amount of maltiness, balancing out the hops and hints of apple and pear. adrian910ss (1435), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 16, 2008 On draft at the GL. Pours a clear coppery gold with a small white head. Aroma of faint honey, wheat and grass. Taste of light honey, wheat and malt. Was expecting a little more from this one. Will have to try this in bottle form. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 8, 2008 750 ml bottle. I completely forgo that I had this very generous gift from beastiefan2k. Hazy orange pour with a very tight laced head. Rich biscuity/crackery malt base. Rich and bready yet light and drinkable at the same time. Crisp clean malts with a hint of nuttiness and a light sherryish oxidation. Beautiful bright minty aroma over the sweet malts. There is a light orange peel, soft cardamon and spice and a light fruitiness as well. On the back there is a soft tropical pineapple character and light tartness. Corky mustiness adds yet another layer to this already very nuanced brew. An amazing balance of yeast, hops and malt. What a fantastic beer... thanks Eugene.
