Tap at SPH. Pink tinted golden beer with a thin white head. Sweet raspberry aroma over a backnote of bready malts and some peppery character as well. Flavour is quite good, unlike many fruit beers, it’s not cloyingly sweet rather letting the acidity of the fruit shine through. Bright raspberry flavour comes through. Well-balanced with loads of fruity flavour on display over a lightly bready base.

Strong, tart, fresh raspberries in the aroma with strong underlying wheat. Clear burgundy red body with a decent cover of fine bubbled white head that recedes to ring with some spotty lacing. Wheat flavour is strong with plenty of pleasantly tart fruitiness. Light body with lively carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.

Tap from Half time with spkldhenlvr24 in May 2005. Pours a perfect red color with a reddish off white head. Smells bursting of sugars and fruits (mixed berry smell.) Beautiful balance of fruits and wheats. No alcohol taste at all almost like drinking a juice. Extremley clean from start to finish. Almost like a lambic without the champagne qualities. I ABSOLUTLEY LOVED THIS BEER!!

on tap at the Spuyten Duyvil. cloudy, ruddy pinkish copper color, short off-white pinkish head. tangy/yeasty strong raspberry aroma. flavor is tangy wheat malt and lots of raspberry - not too dry, not too sweet. well balanced fruit. sparkly carbonation, dryish finish. lots of fun!

Draft at the Publick House. Creamy white head tops the clear ruby-pink hue. Rather simple and straightforward fruit beer where the flavours revolve around the grainy malts and jammy, slightly soapy remotely intense, yet definitely accessible raspberry essence. Unspiced and so simple that you get bored a bit upon tasting, wishing for more wildness, more funk, more originality, but this is, as with all SH beers, clean, not too sweet, not too dry, not too tart (not much at all unfortunately for the latter). Small-bubbled carbonation punctuates the thin watery body. 8% wow, it felt like 5.

A very nice color to this beer - bright, dark pink (magenta) with a dainty white head. Very dry, with no sweetness whatsoever. The rasberry flavor is less a "flavor" but an "essence", like you’d find in rasberry-flavored seltzer water. The flavor is somewaht thin, but its not bad. Overall, an average wheat beer. with a fruity twist.

(draught at the brewery) This really should be listed as a fruit beer - very similar to some sub-par, light raspberries ales I’v had (ie. Great Divide), but there is nothing sub-par about this beer - beautiful red/purple hue, sparkling body wih foamy white head - huge raspberry aroma - crisp, light and refreshing - seemingly simple at first, but one must be careful not to mistake the more subtle berry and grain flavors for simplicity - great summer ale.
