| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 4, 2006 Tap at the brewpub - this is, quite simply, the best pilsener I’ve ever had - perfect clarity, with a nice head retention - extraordinarily floral aroma, almost saison-like in that respect, but the distinct pils hop aroma is there, along with a light, bready malt - the flavor is mildly sweet and quite buttery, with the floral character of the aroma really coming through, along with some very nice light fruity esters (mostly berries) - everything ends with a crisp, hop bite and lingering sweetness on the tongue - really great stuff. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 13, 2006 Tap at the publick house. Damn. Phil knows how to make every style very well. This one poured a very nice crystal clear medium gold with a nice lasting white head and good lace. Aroma is very bready, with lots of malt- like liquid bread, and a lot of spicy continental hops. Flavor is loaded with saaz- spicy and floral, with a gread bready malt backbone. Full bodied for a pilsner and is very smooth and easy drinking. One of the best czech style pilsners in the world. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 4, 2006 A nice, malty, crispy pilsner. Perfectly balanced breadiness with a hint of sweetness. Very full-bodied, and really just a great pilsner, in the Czech style. The grains linger on the palate, and the hops are very light in the background. True to the style, very smooth and very refreshing. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

Gold with a small head Wht they serve beer at the brewpub in cold pint glasses is beyond me, but that’s a whole different story. Taste is rich with quality grains and nicely hopped. Starts off smooth and perfectly carbonated and stays that way throughout. desurfer (1067), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2006 Clear golden body with no head. Aroma is full of Saaz-y goodness and bready malts. Flavor more of the same, with a lot of grassy and herbal character and a good dose of Saaz bite, finishing off sweet and clean. A truly good pilsener; right on the money! beerbill (1954), Laurel, New York, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 2, 2006 had this last night at the Publick house. I have a feeling this is an alt. name for this beer. BUt anyway - this was a very good pilsner. Dry and hot to hoppy. Went down real smooth and complemented my meal nicely. I’d buy this beer again.
