yobdoog (1420), Woodridge NY, New York, USA May 24, 2009 Cask. Had seconds of this one. Nice light, crisp and refreshing. Light sweetness with a solid bitter aspect but still light. Some floral and light citrus hops. adrian910ss (1394), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 17, 2009 On cask at the Southampton Publick House. Pours a clear orange gold with a small white head. Pours a honey amber body with a thin white head. Light fruity esters with caramel malt. Woody with an earthy hop bitterness. Floral hoppiness with a dull copper lingering. Smooth and enjoyable. JohnQPublic (387), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 5, 2009 On cask. Pours hazy gold, bit of an orange tint. Fluffy (for cask) white head.
Nose is lightly sweet pale malts, hops come through lightly with a bit of citrus. Hard to grab on to.
Malt comes through as lightly sweet and a bit doughy, with a nice, firm, spicy, citrusy hop note. Finish is lightly bitter, with a bit of an odd corny aftertaste. May have been bad tap lines. Strange.
Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied, very mild carbonation, even for cask. Chapel (327), Levittown, New York, USA Feb 18, 2008 Light spice which probably comes from the added minerals. Very light floral and random fruit in the nose and flavor. Enjoyable. WhiteAlePower (91), Long Island, New York, USA Feb 11, 2008 Draught at SPH Brewpub. Nice amber colour with a very lacy head. Light spice aroma with notes of hops and fruit. Drinkable indeed. I have had several growlers of this one! sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 7, 2008 Draught at Waterfront Ale House, Bklyn. Amber with a frothy white head, leaving sheets of lacing. Straw and grainy malt aroma with a light fruitiness. Flavor of sweet cereal malts with notes of light citrus and grass. Couldn’t really note any mineral additions. Mildly bitter hop finish. Nothing exciting, but very drinkable nonetheless. A pretty good session ale, if anything. thenick (742), North Bellmore, New York, USA Oct 7, 2007 Tap @ SPH. Pours a more golden color, which is a surprise for the style, with a small, lacy white head. Aroma is caramel and malt, with a slight detectable hop and rye as well. Taste is caramel malt, with a grainy characteristic in the middle and a nice aftertaste of hops. This is a great example of the style, and a nice offering from this absolutely fantastic brewery.
