badbrains (6), New York, New York, USA does not count Jul 3, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy pour, medium gold color. Light head. Orange and apricot aroma. Strong floral ester and flavor. Sweet, sour, bitter all well balanced. Skinny, bubbly feel. thenick (742), North Bellmore, New York, USA Jun 26, 2007 Updated: Jun 18, 2009Tap @ Blind Tiger, NYC. It pours a cloudy golden color with a slightly off-white head that is medium height. Aroma is largely floral with earthy and spicy notes thrown in. The taste is dominated by the lavender but balanced by more subtle flavors and the bitterness of the hops. The beer becomes slightly more bitter as it ends, but overall this is an absolutely wonderful beer. I could drink this all day, every day. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Jun 21, 2007 (750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy maize colored body with a medium white head. Aroma florals, earthiness, and herbs. Flavor of floral hops, some citrus, and honey with a dry, lightly bitter finish. adrian910ss (1395), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 20, 2007 2005 vintage 750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy deep golden color with a frosty white head. Fresh floral aroma with hints of lemon honey spices and pepper. Taste is spicy with lemon and honey undertones and a peppery finish. Almost like drinking a honey lemon cough drop concoction with floral flavor added. Interesting and a nice summer beer change up. Definitely not your everyday brew. bgburdman9 (822), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jun 13, 2007 Aroma seemed really sweet and floral. A really unique aroma. Flavor was pretty sweet for a saison. Also had a real solid burn on the back of the tongue that was very different. A lot of bubbly carbonation to this. Really nice.
PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA Jun 13, 2007 Bottle: Deep golden in color with a bubbly white head that fades. Sweet aroma which is malt dominated (almost cake like). And also has some spicy character with hints of white pepper. Flavor is similar with a tight carbonation. Somewhat spicy, peppery. Also has sweet hints of vanilla, lemon cookie and orange peel. Lots of spicyness with notes of white pepper, thyme and a strong spicy alcohol bite in the finish. Nothing impressive, but drinkable. drewbeerme (2224), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 4, 2007 Updated: Nov 1, 2007750ml, 2005 vintage, cellar aged approx 2 years. pours golden with white head. nose has coriander, flowers, diacetyl, wow a really interested nose. flavor is very earthy, butter, flowery, coriander, and some tangerine. extremely crisp and refreshing. very pissenlit-esque which is cool because i just had that last night and couldn’t get enough of it, and same goes for this well crafted beer, they nailed it! rmouthfeel is full and carbination is low-med. very smooth finish. abv well hidden. an awesome beer. a touch too much diacetyl prevents this from being a 4.3..................................................................................10/31/07, another sample from a fresher bottle thanks to dickinsonbeer. i found this really spiced up and almost medicinal at first but once i got used to the spices they seemed actually mellow and the wonderful floral notes in the flavor were appreciated. i still really dig this beer. nolankowal (850), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 24, 2007 CT7 Bottle shared by sliffy.
