’05 bottle. straw golden color, clear. lots of fizz up the center. tall fluffy white head. puffs of clingy lacing ledges. aroma is malty sweet like honey and cookies, floral like salad flowers, and spicy like white pepper with yeast. flavor is much like the aroma, which is nice! flowery malt, sweetish and tangy. the spicyness is more like candied/crystalized ginger. pretty high carbonation that kicks up the spicyness. dryish finish/aftertaste.

DL Day,Hampton tasting. Very light yellow but hazy. Nose was like standing in a field of dandlions.Nice but after tasting it I was thinking about dandelion wine instead. Some sourness to it but also seems a bit lost.

2004 bottle sampled at Dark Lord Day - Pours golden with a big head. It has a fine aroma of citrus and flowers. It tastes kind of sour and spicey. The hops in the flavor are really interesting and balanced. It’s bubbly on the tongue, yet rather smooth going down. The dry finish was slightly off to me. Overall it’s a very tastey brew.

2004 bottle that was at the 2006 Dark Lord release party. The beer pours to a nice golden body with a milken white head. The aroma is nice. Floral hops that really smell nice. The hop flavor is also really good. Nicely floral, smooth taste, nice palate. Sweet taste as well. VERY GOOD!

2005 750ml bottle via trade with notalush - Thanks Brandon! - Pours cloudy golden with an enormous white bubbly head that blew out as soon as the cork was popped and laced the sides of the tulip in sheets. Aroma is like a spring day and delightfully aromatic. Notes of yeast, but also some lavender and freshly mown grass, clover, and honey. Flavor is much more malty though. Definite sweet malts, a touch of honey and all of those floral notes blend with the grassy hops. Lots of fresh baked bread flavor there too and just a touch of spice on the tip of the tongue. Amazingly carbonated with bubbles rising to the top and creating that huge head but it almost seems to disappear by the end of the bottle. This is incredibly intriguing and extremely tasty brew. Perfect for a beautiful spring day!

This saison pours a light yellow gold color from a 750ml bottle. Large sized white foamy head. Aroma is spicy and floral, some lavender and chamomile. A medium bodied saison. Malts are fruity and sweet. Richly floral tasting. The flavors added really come through in the taste. A little funky and pretty sweet. Smooth taste. Yeasty and clean. Good balance. Nice carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

From bottle, poured at the 2006 Pizza Port 12 Hour Belgian Beer Party courtesy of cquiroga. Beady, lemony yellow pour with a huge white head. Wonderfully wild aromas of freshly mown lawn, wheat bread, and an almost cloying herbal sweetness of honey and lavender. The flavors are a smidgen sweeter than the aroma suggested, but not in an overly unpleasant kind of way. Fresh bread dough and the wave of floral tones balance out the honey flavored brew sugars quite well. Smack of ginseng and honeysuckle.
