Gusher blew the cork down the hallway. Off orangish pour w/ a huge frothy off white head that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves a moderate lacing behind. Floral aroma some light white peppers hints of clove and a touch of fruits. Palate is well coated a bit astringent. Very nice mellow flavor. some very earthy notes hints of flower petals a dry finish with a sweet front. Odd to taste the sugars, they must be non-fermentables. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Mar 22, 2008 Pale and hazy with a big head. Very floral aroma but also with an assertive breadcrusty character and nice dry-hops. Herbal, floral characer with hints of both sweetness and astringency. The yeasty finish is quite dry. corby112 (671), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 17, 2008 Pours a cloudy golden color with thin white head. Floral aroma (duh) with hints of malt, spice and light fruit. Very quaffable with a nice floral flavor accompaned by a nice maltiness and hints of citrus fruit. Gr0ve (1382), Oslo, Norway Mar 16, 2008 300 ml draught, Blind Tiger. Golden colour. Small white head. Peppery aroma with a strong rose leaves aroma. Rich peppery spicy flavour balanced by sharp carbonation. Medium-bodied. Rich malty flavours and wonderful spiced backbone. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Mar 10, 2008 Blind tasting at Papsoe. Hazy golden colour with a huge fizzy white head. A lot of spices in the aroma, such as coriander, flower, citrus, raisins, yeast and some diacetyl. Very tasty flavour with notes of alcohol, grape fruit and ends with a high carbonation. WeeHeavySD (2940), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Feb 17, 2008 Publick House Bottling. 750ml bought at Shorline Liquors in Long Island Shared with my girlfriend Cyn, paired with Tofu Kabobs and Rice with Oyster Mushrooms and Leeks. Pours orangey yellow with lots of carbonation and a thin tan head. Nose is really quite intriguing with lots of floral charater. Taste is nice and dry and sweet and floral with a bit of a citrus herbal quality, I like this beer, its pretty damn tasty. Chapel (327), Levittown, New York, USA Feb 16, 2008 Very strange beer here. I have never had a beer brewed from flowers before. Pretty much everything about this reminded me of champaign. The pour was a light golden/amber with lots of white thin head. Aroma and flavor were full of citrus and raisins. If I was more of a champaign/wine person I would probably like this more. DirtyMartini (194), Los Angeles, Alabama, USA Feb 6, 2008 a nice unique brew. the aroma was a little soapy...but then again the beer has lavender and chamomile in it. however, the flavor was quite amazing. a nice saison background, good and dry. however, that dryness was balanced out by a sweetness i can only think came from the flowers. not a flavor im familiar with so its hard to describe. all i can say is its a sweet floral character and delicous no less. probably something i could only have one glass of at a time...but definitely a beer i would go back to
