It has a fine aroma of citrus and flowers. It tastes kind of sour and spicey. The hops in the flavor are really interesting and balanced. It’s bubbly on the tongue, yet rather smooth going down. The dry finish was slightly off to me. Overall it’s a very tastey brew. Indra (2029), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 30, 2007 750ml bottle, thanks to theisti. Highly engaging aroma, very complex, full of yeast character and flowers with a multitude of fruits. Notes include honey, peach, tangerine, orange, pineapple, herbal spice, faintly peppery alcohol, bready, doughy yeast, anise, coriander, mint, lemongrass, incense...wow. Cloudy amber-golden color, translucent, with a sparse, fading head. Flavor is equally astounding, with touches of white wine, tropical fruitiness, massive waves of spice, pale malty sweetness, and a pleasant, lingering, gently acidic tartness at the finish. Palate is lightly effervescent, smooth and gently warming, medium-full bodied. Really amazing stuff, this is. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Gusher blew the cork down the hallway. Off orangish pour w/ a huge frothy off white head that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves a moderate lacing behind. Floral aroma some light white peppers hints of clove and a touch of fruits. Palate is well coated a bit astringent. Very nice mellow flavor. some very earthy notes hints of flower petals a dry finish with a sweet front. Odd to taste the sugars, they must be non-fermentables. hophead75 (1959), Boonton, New Jersey, USA

Finishes spicy with a subtle honey like sweetness. beerbill (1954), Laurel, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 4, 2007 750 ml bottle, bottled at Southampton Publick House. The first glass I poured was a clear gold with a large, frothy white head and lots of carbonation. The second glass I poured was a hazy, almost antique gold color, with a slightly smaller head and a bit less carbonation. I’m guessing there was some sediment on the bottom which did not mix with the initial pour. Other than the appearance, both pours were identical in terms of aroma, flavor and palate. Very nice aroma of malt, rock candy, and a touch of honey. The flavor was also a nice combination of malt, barrel syrup, honey, a bit of orange, all followed up with a warming alcohol burn. Quite good and a tip of the hat to the folks at Southampton Publick House for a job well done.
