on tap, SHPH night, Blind Tiger. Very hazy golden in color with a medium off white head. Aroma is alot of flowers right off the bat with alot of saison yeast notes, spicy, citrus. Taste is spicy, a good amount of flowers, with citrus, pepper, musty yeast. Finishes spicy with a subtle honey like sweetness.

750 bottle on-site at SHPH - Thanks again Spence! #1100 for me. Lightly hazed amber, thick creamy off white head. Deep rich nose of fresh flowers, toasted caramel, honeyed biscuits, and grass, with softer tones of peppered bread dough and lemon meringue. Intense flavor profile of candied flowers, booze, and sugared fruity tones. Rounds out well with just the right amount of hop bitterness to pull it all together. Medium to full bodied, medium carbonation, dry floral, lightly bitter finish. A truly unique and tasty experience. Wish I had got another bottle to go...

Vaguely hazy light yellow. Nose a bit sour and spicy, some vinegar. Nice flavor, flowery, yet tart and sour with some lemon and citrus, even get some molasses-esque depth on the back side. Extremely flowery, not surprisly so.

Cork pulls off and here we go! Translucent and sometimes mostly cloudy pale copper in color with a copiously foamy head, booming with white froth and not going anywhere. Blanketing, coating lace like no other. Delicate bakery ambitions aromatically abound with yeasty breakfast bread, lightly complimented by soft lilies of the valley, honey suckle, vanilla-nectar buttercream, stale white cackled pepper and honeycomb. Quite unique. Some fruit loops even come in at the very end as I enjoy the dregs. Flavor is in full pursuit of happiness. Garden allegories abound. Dandelions, daffodils and flower saturated pollen give a waxy, margarine-like flavor and coating. Coriander and honeyed baguettes. Nectar dripping off the sampling stick, raised up high and catching germinated flower seeds as it’s held amidst a late springtime breeze. Champagne-like effervescence, sticky, cohesive and thickly streaming in. There’s a mild brut quality to it as well. Lilacs, stephanotis and coriander create a smooth honeyed current in its recession. Quite a treat.

2005 bottle: Pours a very cloudy orange body with a huge head. Aroma is like a garden. Herbs, flowers, spices and pepper come through. Finishes the same, quite tart and spicy. Very smooth peppery mouthfeel. Works well, quite enjoyable.

Venom still contributes to Ratebeer! Bottle from Venom, brought by Gulp, to the after-thanksgiving party! Bright hazy golden orange. Nose is perfumy, flowery and grassy. My wife said it smell "like a small garden". Light, spritzy body with immediate floral and seedy notes, biscuity malts in the middle. Long finish of a grassy hops with flowery notes along the way, wonderfully refreshing, another awesome Southampton gem!
