An extrememly unique brew. Pours deep golden transparent yellow, medium white head, high carbonation. Aroma is one of the most interesting I’ve come across. Like nothing else. Flowey, yet spicy, like Christmas gingersnap and cinammon, Belgian yeast, grassy, apple cider, and a hint of alcohol. Flavor has some sweetness to start, dry in the finish, yeast, sweet malts, the spices are there and more blended than in the aroma. Really something of an odd beer, very much worth trying if you can.

On tap at Barcade. Hazy golden color with a good size off white head. Very floral and herbal aroma with some tropical fruit in there as well. Flavor of oranges, bananas, flowers(don’t ask me what kinds because I’ve never eaten a flower, but this is how I figure they would taste) and black pepper. Very different and very good. I wish I hadn’t traded away my two bottles I had in my basement.

Bottle: Courtesy of TAR. Aroma is fruit, yeast, flowers, and some citrus tartness. Pours a hazy golden-orange with a white head. Yeasty with some orange peel and light tartness and a flowery bitterness in the finish.

Sample BI Indy gathering 2/25/06 - Aroma is dishsoap, lemongrass, yeast, and unknown spices. Pours cloudy yellow with a small head and good lacing. Flavor matches aroma with a bit of hops and malt showing up. Very floral. Palate is sticky and tart. A unique and tasty brew. I’d like to have a whole bottle to really get the full spectrum of flavors.

Really hardcore floral aroma. Its like I shoved my head in a flower case at the grocery store.
Hazy yellow with some orange hues. Minimal white head which is to say there’s a white ring around the edge.
The flowers are the showcase here. Not sure what to say about it other than I like it.
Soft with light carbonation.
Really an interesting beer.

750 ml. from Greens on Ponce. I can’t believe we (Georgia) are starting to get the really good Southampton stuff. Anyways, very flowery aromatic beer. Not even close to a regular Saison that I have ever had. Honey, rose, and a slight spice all come through very well with this beer. Wow, this fucker is aromatic. Beer has a nice fluffy head sitting on top of a nice haze orange body. This beer is very impressive. Wow, very nice spice and honey flavor. This is an amazing beer. For a Saison it is a bit different. Very nice sweet honey flavor. I get the feeling, at certain moments, that I am drinking a Spice/Herb/Vegetable pumpkin beer. Too much of a carbonation bite that simply robs that flavor(s). If the carbonation were toned down a bit then this beer would easily be a top 10. Spices and flower aroma/flavors are simply amazing.

750mL bottle. Pours a hazy orange amber that clears up as it warms. The head is small but very bubbly and dissipates fairly quickly leaving no lacing. The smell is extremely unique and extremely floral with some definite spiciness thrown in there as well. The floral aroma was more than just hops - all kind of flowery smells. The taste is a sweeter version of the aroma with honey playing a major role alongside the floral tastes. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with decent carbonation with a lingering syrupy sweetness in the finish. This is my first Southampton brew and I’m impressed with both the uniqueness and the quality of this one.

Poured a hazy yellow. As I poured I could smell a floral sweet aroma. At first I thought it was abrasive, but it ended up really growing on me. Nose is Fresh cut flowers, honey, pepper, lavender, spicy saison yeast. Flavor is sweet, fresh flowers, bitter flower petals, mild toasted grain, sweet caramel and peppery spices. I was really skeptical about this one from the description, but damn this was good.
