750ml bottle @ RBNAG’07. Clear golden body with a dense white head. Complex floral aroma, spicy and herbs. Flavor is also complex, not heavy. Aromatic flowers, spices. Sweet with an unusually sharp bitterness. Refreshing, strange and wonderful. The most interesting beer for me at this session.

Dark orange pour with a fluffy head. Aroma has some spice and some lemony citrus. Flavor is very green, some bitter hops, grain, yeast and spice. Pepper and clove with some fresh cut grass. Nice.

Shared by OldSock. Hazy pale body with a small white head - fading. The nose is cotton candy, flowers, light caramel and doughy bread. The favor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and floral with herbs, cotton candy and cracker. Medium/full body is soft with gentle, light carbonation. A strange, plant bitterness in the finish is the only real negative.

From bottle, poured at the 2006 Pizza Port 12 Hour Belgian Beer Party courtesy of cquiroga. Beady, lemony yellow pour with a huge white head. Wonderfully wild aromas of freshly mown lawn, wheat bread, and an almost cloying herbal sweetness of honey and lavender. The flavors are a smidgen sweeter than the aroma suggested, but not in an overly unpleasant kind of way. Fresh bread dough and the wave of floral tones balance out the honey flavored brew sugars quite well. Smack of ginseng and honeysuckle.

Bottle shared by BVC. Thanks Brandonn! Compled aromas of flowers, perfume, wheat, pepper, spice, mint. Golden orange with a nice foamy head. Just spicy, floral, and perfumey. Really nice. The flavor is nice and fruity up front. Notes of oranges, flowers, spice, pepper, mint, some lavender too. I really enjoyed the complex spices and sprite carbonation.

Pours cloudy pale orange with a fluffy white head. Sweet, floral almond aroma. Taste of flowers and herbal tea. "Different" is probably the best way to describe this beer.

Rating from memory. 2005 bottle, purchased at some lovely bottle shop in Philly. A really interesting saison that lingers in the memory, with a full body, pleasantly piqant aroma, and a sharp, quirky flavor. Hibiscus and rose petals come across to this relatively unsophisticated nose, giving an interesting quality to an already good saison (less buttery than their Deluxe). I do hope to try this again sometime.
