I have to say I’ve had this beer in both bottles and draft a lot lately and the bottled version is way better. Cloudy gold color with a beautiful off-white head. Aromas of leather, earth and cloves. Taste is alcohol up front with banana, barnyard, flowers, cloves, sweet malts and herbs and mellow orange peel. This baby’s gonna be great in ? years from now.

Courtesy of The_Epeeist. 2005. Glowing, hazy gold. Large, foamy, fluffy, airy, white head. Flavor and aroma: musty, grainy, floral, perfume, fragrant herbs, earthy hops. Balanced medium body. Awesome. Have to get more.

Hazy light orange color with a massive white head. Excellent lacing. Aroma is amazing- lots of floral notes with tons of spice and some fruitiness in the background. Flavor is citrusy and has some coriander/alligator pepper flavors to it, and balanced with strong malt backbone. Mildly bitter. Quite strong but easy to drink.

750 bottle on-site at SHPH - Thanks again Spence! #1100 for me. Lightly hazed amber, thick creamy off white head. Deep rich nose of fresh flowers, toasted caramel, honeyed biscuits, and grass, with softer tones of peppered bread dough and lemon meringue. Intense flavor profile of candied flowers, booze, and sugared fruity tones. Rounds out well with just the right amount of hop bitterness to pull it all together. Medium to full bodied, medium carbonation, dry floral, lightly bitter finish. A truly unique and tasty experience. Wish I had got another bottle to go...

Magnificence and serenity coexisting in an immense pillow of doughy flower petals...Citrusy buds sprout here and there amongst the heavenly photophagi and coerce some hay blades into forming a surreptitious underlying bitterness...Paradisiacal thoughts are summoned as a silent comfort installs itself, and eyes and ears are no longer necessary...

With time, sweeter caramel malt notes appear and the flowers become peppery, somewhat losing part of their doughy fluffiness...Still very unique and massively tasty...

750ml bottle, thanks to theisti. Highly engaging aroma, very complex, full of yeast character and flowers with a multitude of fruits. Notes include honey, peach, tangerine, orange, pineapple, herbal spice, faintly peppery alcohol, bready, doughy yeast, anise, coriander, mint, lemongrass, incense...wow. Cloudy amber-golden color, translucent, with a sparse, fading head. Flavor is equally astounding, with touches of white wine, tropical fruitiness, massive waves of spice, pale malty sweetness, and a pleasant, lingering, gently acidic tartness at the finish. Palate is lightly effervescent, smooth and gently warming, medium-full bodied. Really amazing stuff, this is.

750ml bottle. any effervescent appearance with a hazy gold color under a large, loud, fizzy white head. big soapy, herbal lavender aroma and minty. flavor is sweet and floral with lavender, honey, tea, herbs mentioned in description, spices. gruit like. everything (balance of each herb and flower) just comes together so well. a bit of sweetness to balance all the herbal coolness. medium bodied. a unique and special brew.

2005 750ml bottle via trade with notalush - Thanks Brandon! - Pours cloudy golden with an enormous white bubbly head that blew out as soon as the cork was popped and laced the sides of the tulip in sheets. Aroma is like a spring day and delightfully aromatic. Notes of yeast, but also some lavender and freshly mown grass, clover, and honey. Flavor is much more malty though. Definite sweet malts, a touch of honey and all of those floral notes blend with the grassy hops. Lots of fresh baked bread flavor there too and just a touch of spice on the tip of the tongue. Amazingly carbonated with bubbles rising to the top and creating that huge head but it almost seems to disappear by the end of the bottle. This is incredibly intriguing and extremely tasty brew. Perfect for a beautiful spring day!
