Sampled thanks to drewbeerme. Pours a hazy orange with a tall beige head. Spicy aroma. Hops and floral herbs with a lot of yeast. The spicy nose subsides to become more malty. Similar flavors that seem overly spicy at first taste until the citrus and malts come forth to balance it well. Pretty tasty.

Bottle from beastiefan2k, shared w/ slob and Robert at SL. The pour was golden in color with only slight haziness, steady and lively carbonation. Aroma was floral w/ spices also detectable. The flavor was a little overdone on the floral side for my highest liking, dandelions standing out perhaps the most, spicey (almost a ginger-like character to which I’m sensitive), slight sour-citrusey, white grapes, honey, and only faint yeast elements. More phenolic peppery flavors would have been quite nice and added some depth. Mouthfeel was lively carbonated, a little light on the body for a saison. Thanks much, Eugene, a fun one! Re-rated in 7/08 at SL, 4/08 bottling, shared by Robert. Very similar experience, although the malt base was not nearly as inspiring as before with the floral and spicey side over-running the product. In particular, ginger and cinnamon seemed to jump out of this bottle at us like a holiday ale or something. The chamomile is what I think gives me a ginger-cinnamon impression, but nevertheless, it was a bit over the top. As noted before, more phenolic notes, and this time more malt character, both would have made this quite stellar. Prior rating numbers stand, especially since this one may have been a hand-bottling and some of the malt character may have been lost due to that? Thanks, Robert, for sharing this one too!

750 ml bottle. Poured pale orange and somewhat clear with billowy white head that quickly dissipated. Aroma of citrus, malts, and coriander. Had a very Belgian feel to it. Taste was more malty up front, with honey being the predominant flavor. Get a little bit of the citrus in there as well, but not so much of the floral aspects. Toward the finish I thought i got some of the flowers in there, which contributed a bitter taste, which was quite welcome here. A little boozy at the end. Personally, I found this beer to be better cold rather than warmed up a bit. Kinda dissapointed that I couldn’t get much of the flowers here. A decent brew nonetheless.

Bottle shared at glouglouburps roof top tasting. Poured a flat golden orange with virtually no head even after some serious agitation. very very floral nose with some detectable lavender and a very light hint of malts. Medium bodied and rather dry, well it is a saison so what would you expect?? Lots of floral notes in the flavor as well and as nice as this was it just is to far past my palate for now. A good beer just not for me.

a nice unique brew. the aroma was a little soapy...but then again the beer has lavender and chamomile in it. however, the flavor was quite amazing. a nice saison background, good and dry. however, that dryness was balanced out by a sweetness i can only think came from the flowers. not a flavor im familiar with so its hard to describe. all i can say is its a sweet floral character and delicous no less. probably something i could only have one glass of at a time...but definitely a beer i would go back to

Big flower nose. Cloudy in appearance with no visibility through the glass. A hint of flowery flavors as it first hits your tongue. The finish reaveals a lot of spice. Long lasting linger.
