Flowery aroma, flavor and effervescent mouthfeel. I had this at Belgium Comes to Cooperstown 2005 and found it incredible. The spices are evident but its the mouthfeel and the flowery touches that does it for me.

Bottle from trade with MaxxDaddy. Slightly cloudy dark straw color with a thin white head. Great aroma - a mix of white pepper and fresh floral/herbal earthiness. The lavender stood out of bit. Taste has a slight sour start with a great floral middle, light spice on the back end. Complex but refreshing.

Amazing floral aroma, I would give it an 11 if I could. The flavor is less impressive; floral yet fairly dry with a crisp, dry finish.

pours medium hazy amber with a creamy, eggshell-white head. Surprisingly malty aroma of oranges, spices. I want to say there is alot of lavender in the nose but I’m not sure if I’m just inferring that from the description. Sweet, malty flavor, once again candied oranges, cinnamon, grass, and I guess flowers. Come to think of it, it really does taste like flowers, it’s no joke, it’s just sweeter than I thought it would be. Delicious and refreshing. Flavor lingers on for awhile, and really leaves me craving more of this wonderful, unique brew. I wish they would bottle and distribute more of this.

Bottle, 2005. Pours a golden honey color, very clear (at least the top is) with a sudsy white head. Nose is yeast, cheese, apples, candy sugar, floral - I assume that’s the flowers brewed in - bread, hay... a great saison aroma. Flavor is very fresh - lemony, pear, only slightly bitter, but almost tart. Dry finish, very carbonated, but a nice dry finish. A great take on a saison, not outrageous, but different enough to please. rerate - mega spicy, no rating change, i still love it.

Big thanks to mgumby10 for sharing this wonderful brew. My first example of this style. Pours a golden, cloudy color with a white, fizzy head. Aromas of spice, citrus, clove, yeast. Flavor is yeast, dough, spice, citrus bite. Good carbonation, tickly medium mouthfeel. Finish is medium length, spicy and the clove really comes through, as well as some funkiness. Excellent brew, not as sour as I expected.

Bottle at the brewpub. Aroma of all sorts of spices and both herbal and perfumy notes (I would assume from the flowers). Flavor not really perfumy but has a light background sweetness with absolutely fascinating interplay of spicy and herbal notes that I couldn’t have identified individually, let alone as a whole. And they do indeed work together as a whole in a way so unique...I came up with my numerical score quite easily, but the words just didn’t come for me. Truly an experience you have to have yourself.

What a unique brew, it really took me quite a while to try to pick out all the flavors in this brew, even with the help of a fellow ratebeerian. Pours a cloudy light orange with a tall big bubbles white head. Tons of floral scent in the aroma, hops, flowers, tea spice, slight lambic sourness, perfumy and sweet. Taste starts just like the smell, very aromatic, hints of honey, chamomile, fruit, dry spice, and lightly citrus. Very herbal tasting. Very smooth and a unique enjoyable brew, what an experience.
