Pours hazy golden amber with a small to moderate off-white head. Very nice aroma - definitely unique: not surprisingly this is very floral, pollen, clover a little yeast funk, herbs and some orange rind and coriander. Flavor is dry, spicy, nice floral/herb bitterness, little honey, apple, peach and the aforementioned funkiness. Medium body and mild carbonation. Very different and very good! kkearn (1011), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Very floral, quite spicy aroma, with notes of lavender, menthol, wheat, and berries. Flavor begins with wheat and honey, which are nicely complimented by caramel, flowers, pepper, and herbs. Honey and herbs linger on the palate, with pepper at the tail end. Somewhat thick, syrupy body. Interesting beer, I’m glad i had the opportunity to try it. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 5, 2005 Pours a hazy, golden honey color body with lots of bubbles and a good sized white head. The aroma is belgian yeast and wildflowers. The flavor is sweet and flowery with a bready finish. Is there such thing as an Abbey Saison? Good stuff! NobleSquirrel (1120), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 6, 2009 Bottle thanks to hopdog. Pours a very pretty, hazy golden-yellow. Fizzy head. Nose is quite floral, both from flowers and hops. I do get some of the chamomile notes, a touch spicy and a little bit of acidity and funk. Taste is much of the same, very soft and floral. Super light beer for the abv and clean. I could drink a ton of this. Nice acidity that helps with the floral notes. Fantastic. Crosling (1856), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Gold.
Quite fragrant in its bouquet, sweet with hints of spice, various flowers, grass and orange.
Dry, zesty, odd and very hard to describe. Grassy, somewhat herbal but not really with a divine light fruitiness of orange and apples. Dry, buttery malt flavor. A wierd one but I liked it. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 14, 2005 Sample courtesy of TAR. Huge flowery nose almost smells like perfume-like. Some spice and pepper detectable. Flavor is all sweetness up front, hard to define though. Mostly residuel candy sugar/tripel like, with some faint malt and a big flower character again. Very well done IMO. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 30, 2006 2004 bottle that was at the 2006 Dark Lord release party. The beer pours to a nice golden body with a milken white head. The aroma is nice. Floral hops that really smell nice. The hop flavor is also really good. Nicely floral, smooth taste, nice palate. Sweet taste as well. VERY GOOD! Ughsmash (4074), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Thanks to David for bringing the 750! Poured slightly hazy medium golden with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up slightly sour pale malts with much more character from the green floral and yeasty accents.. delicate and delightful! The flavor found fruity and pale malts on the core with chamomile and other floral notes around.. touch of sourness on the edges.. great balance the whole way through. Medium-bodied on the palate.. slightly spicy, slightly sour, and entirely wonderful!
