NDbeerdrinker (160), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Jul 2, 2009 Pours a pale gold with a white head that sticks around. Aroma is lots of coriander and orange. Taste is very sweet, coriander, orange, yeast. Easy drinking, and a good summer beer. vtafro (212), , New Jersey, USA Jul 2, 2009 Tap @ Just Jakes. One of only three "craft" beers on tap. Wasn’t sure how this would be. Wheat and fruit ester fueled aroma. Flavor was of citrus and spices however beer was not too sweet. Nice witbier. Maddog (174), Kettering, Ohio, USA Jun 30, 2009 A very nice version of one of my favorite styles of beer. This beer is loaded with orange and coriander and has a very fresh malty body to accompany all that flavor and spice near the end. Very cloudy with a wonderful aroma of citrus and spice. A very good beer. Guinness4Duff (492), Tallahassee (and Poconos, PA), Florida, USA Jun 26, 2009 Bottle. Hazy yellow pour with a small white head that quickly disapears. Aroma of bananas and cloves is a bit faint. Taste is much stronger, very pronounced Belgian flavor. Very good. CheersMate1 (608), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 26, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Picked up at Macs on West Peachtree. Nice looking wit. Nice dark haze yellow beer. Very thin head that fades away eventually. Looks pretty good to me. Very sweet aroma. Slight banana/yeast aroma with citrus taking over the aroma. Decent aroma. Not extremely pungent, but a decent aroma. Very in your face almost sour yeast, and coriander taste. Mellows out to a smooth banana/yeast taste. A very interesting twist to this. I haven’t really had a witbier with that very sharp sour taste that disappears quickly. Smooth beer, but not one of my favorite witbiers, but still decent. jbye4334 (313), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jun 25, 2009 (bottle at Old Chicago in Lincoln, NE). Pours a cloudy, dark yellow color. Medium white head. Wheat aroma. Strong wheat and coriander flavor. Avg duration. Slightly astringent finish. Spare lacing. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. PhillyBeer2112 (2048), Orange Park, Florida, USA Jun 19, 2009 12 oz bottle. Might have been a month past its date, not sure, the date code was smeared, but I wouldn’t be surprised coming from Total Wine. Anyhoo, poured a golden color, mildly hazy, foaming white head. Didn’t really look like a witbier. I’ve been moving toward an active dislike of the style for awhile now, and this one came just in time to remind me of what is good in these beers. Refreshing nose was big on coriander, with a little citrus and minty wheat, very little phenol, which I appreciate. Flavor was clean enough, with a touch of coriander and zesty wheat, hint of citrus. Clean slightly herbal finish. coharahawk (78), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jun 14, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy, pale yellow with small white head that fades to a thin rim. Aroma is strongly coriander with some banana and belgian yeast aroma. Flavor is citrus up front followed by lots of spice. Finishes slightly tart and acidic.
