BrianDorry55 (117), Spring Hill, Florida, USA Feb 13, 2009 12oz. from Publix in Spring Hill, FL. Pours a nice honey color, thin white head. Medium lacing....lots of bubbling carbonation. Really great aroma...tons of fruits: grapes, grapefruit, orange. Alot of florals....A really sweet honey smell...Flavor is really nice; grapes, honey, yeast, a bit of sour citrus fruits. Starts medium bodied and finishes lighter. Weird mouthfeel...pretty smooth going down. This one really surprised me..."White" usually rases a red flag for me...but this one is really enjoyable. Great aroma, great flavor, great beer...Reminds me alot of DFH Midas Touch. bp (451), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 12, 2009 Bottle: pours golden amber with a thin white head, aroma of candy sugar, lemon, spices, taste is sweet, citrus, some spices, fairly thin mouthfeel. Very refreshing brew. Pawola22 (676), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Feb 12, 2009 On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a very hazy, bright orange body with a foamy, snow white, finger-width head that dissipates slowly and remains moderately laced. Aroma of bubblegum wheat. Some Belgian yeastiness, candy lemons and oranges, and a hint of coriander spices. Pretty solid aroma, but the flavor isn’t as nice. Definitely more flavor than a typical white ale, but still relatively boring. Some wheat malts and coriander spicing throughout as well as a light citrus hop backing. Obvious Belgian yeastiness and a crispness throughout. Finishes quick with a light lingering sweet wheat flavor. Palate is medium to light with a tickling carbonated feel. Overall, I guess the white ale category isn’t really my thing. This is nicer than most white ales out there, in fact the aroma was pretty nice, but its still kind of lame. Good balance and refreshing, just not my favorite style. zappafan99 (462), South Carolina, USA Feb 10, 2009 Taste 2/9 Bottle. Looks: Cloudy pale gold. Aroma: Some candy sweetness, lemon and orange. Taste: Sweet, thin bodied and a little silky and creamy. Spice and orange. csbosox (1076), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Feb 8, 2009 12oz bottle served in a Chimay chalice at the ambient room temp, which is probably in the high 50’s to low 60’s. Sharp wheat, herbal, and light citrus aroma. Slightly hazy, orange/golden color with a smallish head. Very smooth mouthfeel. Lots of sharp wheat in the flavor along with strong herbal flavors and some light lemon/tangerine. Alcohol is present. I seemed to like this better when fresh, this bottle is several months old. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Feb 3, 2009 orange peel and pineapple aromas ... some lacing ... damn easy to drink but not awfully complex, and for 6.8% very well masked ... "fanny bandits??" ... leaves a nice subtle aftertaste .. the next step after blue moon ... daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA Feb 2, 2009 Bottle. Hazy, light yellow color. White head. Aroma is spicy, yeasty and full of wheat. Flavor is creamy and has some nice wheat and yeast notes. Nice beer. benfergy (46), Valley City, North Dakota, USA Feb 1, 2009 The appearance is hazy golden yellow. The aroma is fairly strong, and I can easily smell the coriander. The flavor is definitely wheat, and I can also taste citrus as well. The palate isn’t great in my opinion, but that doesn’t keep this from being a great beer.
