In bottle, at Sadlack’s in Raleigh. Yellow, cloudy pour, with medium white head. Aroma of banana, with citrus, coriander, and other spices. Flavor is similar, with a strong yeastiness, and a nice tangy finish. However, the strong banana flavor and aaroma suggests more of a double hefe that a double witte.

12oz in De Koninck glass. Effervescent cloudy yellow. Pours nearly syrupy. Slightly muddled nose of apricots, dough, and nutmeg. Flavor is largely akin to weissbier, which works for me. Finishes with tingly carbonic bite and hints of white pepper.

This one pours hazy yellowish orange color with a small white head that settlers to a thin film. The aroma is of orange peel, coriander, wheat, and some citrus hops. THe flavor follows with a good amount of sweet oranges, coriander, wheat, and some candy sugar sweetness. Medium bodied and almost creamy with nice carbonation that goes down fairly smooth. Much fuller on the palate than most of this style. This is definitely an imperial belgian white. Good flavor in this one and nice and refreshing.

Comes out of the tap a bright honey yellow, cloudy to the point of opaqueness, with a little white head. Aroma is lemony and wheaty, inviting a taste. Well-rounded flavor is wheaty and pleasantly tart with a strong lemon overtone. Texture is bubbly and lively, and leaves a crisp and lemony aftertaste.

12 oz. bottle: Pours a hazy straw with a small head.Clear until I poured the remaining bottle yeast. Aroma is of cloves and fruit from the esthers. Medium body. Taste is crisp and spicy but not dry at all. Fairly complex, although it is a little two sweet for me. Not bad. Excellent with a nice light fish and salad.

12oz bottle served in a shaker pint. Poured a very hazy pale gold with a finger of white head. Lots of carbonation. Bottle conditioned. Tons of banana and a wheaty spice in the nose. More banana and fruit flavors. A little on the sweet side. It seemed a little flabby to me. Mouthfeel was nice though. I prefer clove over banana in a wit, so this didn’t do a whole lot for me.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast, banana, lemon and notes of coriander. Flavor is sweet and yeasty with orange zest, banana, cloves and spices with a medium body and a clean and crisp finish.
