DSG (1501), Tel Aviv, Israel Nov 30, 2008 (10/25/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Southampton. Says 7.2% on the board. Cloudy pale yellow color. Aroma of wheat, citrus and some spicy notes. Sweet wheaty flavor with some orange, lemon notes and some coriander. A dry spicy finish with hints of alcohol. Medium-bodied. Nice. RIXbeer (102), USA Nov 28, 2008 Pours a nice solid yellow hue with a nice fluffy 2 finger head that slowly fades into a nice thin layer and a solid edge ring. Foams sticks slightly to the sides. Fairly lively carbonation and virtually no thickness to the liquid. Looks light. Wow that a really nice spiciness that comes from what I imagine is the huge amounts of actual spice. Mixed with coriander and orange zest and lemon zest. Some clove and a nice hint of alcohol. Taste or orange and lemon with a huge amount of coriander and spice that stick though the whole beer. Some definite clove and even a touch of honey. The lively carbonation gives the illusion of a fuller beer than this is. Still it’s a very flavorful beer whose intention are fulfilled in being absolutely delicious. This beer is not only great on a hot day, it’s also great with any spicy food. Chinese, BBQ, Thai and even Buffalo chicken. This is an all around winner in my book! This beer is quiet drinkable and should be enjoyed all summer long, with friends and great food. I don’t know what it is about this beer but I highly recommend it! 1010 (206), Marysville, Ohio, USA Nov 26, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange color with a thin white head that quickly disapates into nothing. There is some sediment that lingers in the beer.
Smells very floral and lots of yeast.
Taste fruity with a cinamin aftertaste.
This is a very drinkable beer even though it is fruity.
Note. The bottle is different than the one pictured.
