The aroma is like an herbal citrus tea: floral, lemongrass, touch of honey. The flavor has a mild residual sweetness that is delicate but notable and delicious. The flavor has lots of wheat and biscuit notes and a dry flour impression from flaked unmalted grains. There is an interesting floral quality to the ester profile. The finish is refreshing and somewhat sweet with a mild honey sweetness. Lemon zest and coriander are present throughout at medium intensity. The floral and sweet qualities are somewhat reminiscent of Unibroue’s Blanc de Chamblee (just somewhat). The mouthfeel is creamy with a full body. There are lots of suds but the crisp bubbles aren’t too much and don’t provide sting to the tongue - just right. Overall, this is a beautiful witbier. The strength is great enough for the beer to be obviously a ’’double’’ - but it provides enough extra punch to be more flavorful and delectable than most typical-strength witbiers. jtroop (1), Denver, USA does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Not a fan of this style but this is yummy and hits the spot. Not much lingers and a lot agrees. Thumbs up. Caleb1035 (63), , North Carolina, USA

Taste is also citrus and smooth. Of the wit’s I’ve sampled, would but put this one only behind St. Bernardus. nick76 (2646), Tampa, Florida, USA

The appearance hazy gold with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma with a green tea like finish. The palate is thin. Overall I like it. Palidor19 (1762), Brandon, Florida, USA

Lack of head is quite surprising esp. since beer was decanted into a weizen. Body is also clearer than I would have expected. Hmmm. Inviting aroma of citrus, spice, bread and yeast. Mouthfeel is wheaty smooth with a decent amount of heft for the style. Flavor of citrus, spice and bread with a bit of a wheaty, boozy quality like in a weizen bock only in a lighter, more refreshing style. Maybe a touch of pepper in the finish and aftertaste. Kind of nice! rman18 (201), South Amboy, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Poured a cloudy light yellow with a small white head that did leave a little bit of a lacing. It was very easy to drink and was wheaty with a little light spices. You could taste the yeast.
