Citrus and spicy flavor, clean and little hop profile. A nice easy drinking and flavorful summertime brew, with a bit more kick as a double. Slipstream (746), USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 30, 2008 Cloudy, tan-olive colored pour that leaves lace on the glass. Pungent, citrusy aroma with strong floral and malt tones. This is quite robust for a witbier. The Belgian yeast flavor comes thru clearly, and other flavors are noticable too - orange, snappy hops, and a little coriander. More malty-yeasty than gently sweet, this is a spicey wheat ale that you could sip while watching autumn raindrops fall. This is my first rating of a Southampton Publick House brew, and you can color me impressed. mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA

Southampton Double White Ale is a cloudy, bleached-pale yellow color with an airy white colored head. The aroma has a complex wheat base, a touch of alcohol and a lot of citrus and lemon. The flavor is as complex as the aroma and has a great finish. This is a great strong Belgian White. tomthompson89 (1471), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 18, 2008 Draught into tulip. Pours cloudy pale yellow, with a foamy white head that fades quickly and leaves no real lacing. Aroma is heavy on sweet lemon zest, with a bit of spicy yeast and coriander in there as well. Taste is sweet and crisp up front - wheat blends with lemon citrus, with the spicy yeast coming in right before a sweet, zesty, clean finish. Very drinkable, full flavored, with a slightly heavier body then many wits I’ve tried. Medium body, crisp carbonation, only a hint of dryness on the finish. ucusty (1880), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2008 Cloudy yellow appearance. Taste is sour with lemons, bananas, and grapefruit. This is a good representation of a Belgian white. The spiciness is a little too overwhelming. thechandler (268), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2008 Bottle. Wheaty, lemon-citrus aroma. Moderate foamy head. Flavor....I don’t know. I guess since it’s called a "double white" I expected it to be stronger. It’s not at all. It tastes about the same as your average wit, with a little bit more alcohol flavor. Not bad at all, but alas, it didn’t meet my expectations. joebudzjoe (224), Connecticut, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 1, 2008 On draft @ Monster B’s. Very fizzy pour with a thin bubble sip. Tones of orange, coriander and a bit of honey. Very light despite the ABV. My only big complaint is that it gave me a wicked case of acid reflux later on that night.
