DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 19, 2008 Aroma is full of yeast esters, honey, lemon zest, and floral aromas. It’s appearance is a slightly pale cloudy color, with a nice full head. It’s flavor is excellent with nice full pale malts, honey, light citrus, and some yeasty notes. It’s exceptionally smooth, with a bit of hmmm!!!! The power is nice creating a nice dull delivery. It’s excellent. stangger (155), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 18, 2008 12oz bottle. Lemony zest, spicy, floral aroma. Taste is very spicy and citrusy, and excellent at first. I found that the more I drank, the less I enjoyed it, as the lemon spiciness overpowered the beer.
Miksu (2187), Jyväskylä, Finland Aug 13, 2008 12 oz bottle at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Hazy yellow color with yeast flocs and vanishing head. Spicy, perfumed, acidic, corky and appley aroma with notes of rhubarb. Dry, woody, corky, peppery and clovey flavor with coriander, strawberry and rhubarb. Dry sherry like finish. A great beer reminding dry saisons or fino sherry. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA Aug 10, 2008 (Bottle). Strong sour citrus aroma. Hazy yellow with very small head. Flavor is sourish fruit and spice, with a sour finish. Funknmilla (577), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 9, 2008 12 oz bottle....color of body resembles a lighter version of lemon meringue pie filling...sports a fluffy off-white head resembling the fluff of the pie---aromas lemon, orange, some clove and spices, they all work together toward nasal wheat pleasure...body is light and creamy--zingy citrus (orange)-- nuances of wheat and clove also blended in this creation, yum, thanks Kawabomber---pretty queen annes lace lacing, not much of it but pretty none the less Fruitfly (59), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2008 Bottle. Hazy golden with suspended wheat and basically no head. Smell is a strong tangy-sour with sharp ciitrus, wheat, and some other rather indistinct vegetation. Taste to match. Too sticky on the lips. Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 7, 2008 Hazy unfiltered amber pour. Smells of vanilla with hints of orange. Almost sour at times. The flavor is spicy and has the general wheat characteristics. Smooth finish with a small bite. Beerman6686 (1266), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2008 I think i might have gotten an infected bottle, but here goes. Poured a cloudy golden yellow with a white head. Aroma was very sour smelling with some spice notes. Flavor was also very sour but not a citrus kind, a weird funky sour ale kind that shouldn’t be involved in this type of beer.
