JensenTaster (1585), Denmark Jun 2, 2008 (on bottle) Hazy yellow, big head, lots of coriander and wheat in aroma. I find the taste and especially the finish very troublesom. I imagine the use of US hops to be too much for this type of beer, since the zingyness falls over and becomes very tart and acidic. The freshness from the first sips, becomes burning and metallic. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jun 1, 2008 Bottle. Hazy medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, citrus - orange shell, moderate yeasty, moderate to light heavy coriander. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (180408) oh6gdx (8795), Vasa, Finland May 30, 2008 Bottled. Hazy yellowish colour, mediumsized white lacing head. Aroma is yeast, wheat, sourness as well as spices. Flavour is spices, wheat, yeast and flowery hops. For being US-made witbier, it’s a very good one. HighlanderOne (538), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA May 24, 2008 Poured from bottle 5/2008. Aroma of spiced bread - nice. Cloudy white gold, lacing head. Bread, pepper, spice, banana in flavor. This is really well done. I noticed the coriander about midway through. Finished great. This actually ranks with the Belgian Witbiers. Well done. mirjukka (695), LOHJA, Finland May 24, 2008 355ml bottle ,Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Bitter and Sour 2008, shared with Fatphil & JK54B 150508
Color: hazy yellow, nice lace
Scent. bit phenols citrus
Taste:bit phenols, citrus, coriander. The nicest American white beer this year. Bungalo22 (326), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA May 23, 2008 Pours a cloudy and hazy yellow from the bottle. Has a great aroma for a white beer. It smells floral and citrus and wheaty all at once. Pours with a nice head that sticks around. Has a heavy citrus flavor as well and is well balanced for a white. A very smooth and refreshing beer. Up there as far as Whites go for me. SaintMatty (1195), Tallinn, Estonia May 23, 2008 355ml Bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)- Hazy golden in colour. Fresh and floral aroma with leomn and a bit of spice. Tangy taste with some hops, spice and lemon. Quite fizzy on the tongue. Nice and refreshing but needs a bit more body. sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland May 21, 2008 (Bottled) Hazy golden with a small head. Witbier-saisony aroma with some sourness and honeyish pale malt. Flavor is something between Plevnan Panimosima, and Weihenstephaner Vitus. Honeyish malt, witbier spices, raisins. Medium-bodied, soft-carbonated. Funny, but quite enjoyable. Lacks complexity, though.
