bgburdman9 (822), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jan 17, 2007 I thought this would taste bigger than it did when i saw double white. Nice light and floral and citrus aroma. A light bitterness and not very sweet at all for being a 7% wit. Pretty good stuff that is refreshing, easy to drink, and still very flavorful. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jan 11, 2007 Draught at d.b.a., NYC Cloudy blond color. The aroma is initially with citrus fruits, shows some dirty water smell, later, and plastic. Ordinary flavor, poor wheat, some sweetness, some citrus fruits, and a light sourness that I think is unwanted. ogglethorp (882), Ohio, USA Jan 7, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear golden orange color with a medium white head, nice lacing. Aroma is yeast, malt, caramel. Flavor is yeast, coriander, orange, caramel, malt, some citrus. Palate is medium bodied, moderately carbonated, sweet, yeasty finish. Nice, unique, brew that really works for me. jason (1620), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 2, 2007 Draft at the Blue dog. Poured a foamy head with a golden body. Slight peppery taste and spices. Slight lemon taste present and finished smooth. This had a nice bite to it. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA Dec 28, 2006 Updated: Dec 29, 2006I’m not sure if this is a regular for Southampton, but the bottle I shared tonight was miles better than the one I tried last April. Clear golden pour with a fluffy head. Strong aroma waif from the tulip - caramel, fresh breads, vanilla wafers and unripe bananas. The coriander and orange peel really work well with the bready malt and yeast in the body - where some lemon and citrus notes are present as well. Sufficient carbonation helps separate the complex body, and adding dimension. Easy to drink, this is really nice. jcr (1136), Jasper, Indiana, USA Dec 28, 2006 Hazy light gold pour with appealing big fluffy white head. Strong and pleasant nose of banana, spice, butter and yeast. Sweet flavor with a tangy finish. Tastes of coriander and lemon. Smooth, somewhat watery, mouthfeel with average carbonation. Nice dry finish completes an excellent beer. GregClow (2493), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 23, 2006 Bottle shared with a bunch of folks at DougShoemaker’s Decemberfest 2006 - courtesy of HogTownHarry. Hazy lemon juice yellow with a good sized white head. Yeasty, spicy aroma with some tropical fruit notes. Flavour of lemon and yeast, with some big, mouth-filling herbal notes. Deceptively light given the alcohol percentage. blankboy (3165), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 21, 2006 Bottle shared with the gang at Decemberfest 2006 -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy yellow with an average size lasting white head. Aroma and flavour of tart citrus, yeast, spices and faint hops. Medium bodied. Pretty good.
