alagnak (296), Littleton, Colorado, USA May 18, 2009 Bottle from a mixed 6. Nose is standard Wit, but lots of spice and yeast in the flavor. Tart Saison-y bite to it on the finish, really enjoyable. I didn’t look much @ the bottle, and had no idea it was 7%abv - well masked. I will go back for a 6 of this. Jsawyer (282), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA May 18, 2009 Draught. Poured turbid yellow with little to no head. Nose was wheat, citrus, spices, and slightly piney. Flavor was sweet orange, coriander, wheat crispness, lemon zest, and some hops. Palate was medium bodied, and had a little carbonated bite in the throat. Enjoyable even though I usually don’t like wheat ales. chandler0201 (341), Durham, North Carolina, USA May 14, 2009 Dark yellow pour with white head. Spice in the aroma, taste is typical of a wit with more carbonation and hops. tupalev (2605), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 12, 2009 On tap at Falling Rock. I need to change it up a bit after a couple of Blind Pigs had numbed my mouth. This was a nice choice. Lovely hazy yellow, big white head. Great aroma - lots of spice, yeast, and even a touch of alcohol. Taste is terrific - exactly as described, a full flavoured and kicked up Wit. Really balanced well - spices, yeast, citrus, light carbonated body - all come together really well. Dry finish. Really good. stobbe74 (655), Denmark May 12, 2009 Bottle, 12 fl. oz. Pours an unclear yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is fresh, fruits and a little yeast. The flavor has coriander and orange, and leaves a fresh palate. Overall a nice refrshing belgian wit. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA May 6, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy pale straw with a bright, frothy, white head. The nose is of coriander, dusty wheat and citrus blending together in harmony. Light-bodied and thin with a soft, wheaty mouthfeel and a fairly clean finish. The flavor is very nice: a satisfying blend of citrus (lemon and orange), coriander and soft wheat. A fan of witbiers, I now have a locally available, tasty and quaffable American wit that weighs in at an IPA’s ABV. I am a happy camper, and I think I have found a new summer staple. Good stuff. 17thfloor (1403), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 5, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a perfectly cloudy light yellow golden with a thin fine white fizzy froth. Aroma is bready and floral, rose pedals, sweet. Flavor is very floral with sweet sugary cereal and a coriander finish.
Cereal aftertaste. Medium bodied with a fuller mouthful yet still crisp, sticky syrupy feeling left after swallowing. Similar to Sam Adams Imperial Wit in that its quite floral and a bit syrupy. ansermadide (496), Kyle, Texas, USA May 2, 2009 12oz bottle on May 2, 2009, thanks to William. Pale honey color, almost yellow. Well carbonated, clear. Aroma of citrus, yeast, spice. Light, but almost creamy. Coriander apparent. Yeast is way obvious here... not my cup of tea, but for what it is, it’s drinkable and well balanced.
