| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 26, 2004 Hazy blonde color with yeast in suspension, not much of a head, just a ring of foam around the glass. Aroma of bananas and spices. Flavor of bananas, spices and alcohol with a light acidity. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. So far this one is the one I like the least from Southampton, but still it’s good and worth tasting. Dogbrick (2864), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2009 This brew is a hazy golden-orange color with a thin and fizzy white head that recedes steadily, and some chunks on the bottom of the glass. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Citrus and spices in the nose. Light-bodied with orange peel, spice and yeast flavors. The finish is zesty fruit with a vanilla and yeast aftertaste. Not sure what makes this a "Double" as it seemed within the bounds of many Wits I have tried. Decent either way. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 18, 2006 Updated: Sep 8, 2009IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS RATING FOR THE kick-ass 750ml bottle. Not the shitty 12oz bottles that I beleive are contracted outside the brewpub
In short: Best Witbier ever, period.
How: Many times from bottles. This rating is for a tap at at Holy Smoke BBQ, Mahopac, NY
The look: Very cloudy yellow body with a long-lasting medium white head.
In long: I had it many times from a bottle and it was always great Ɣ.0 great). But that time I had it on tap at Holy Smoke was just unreal. You could smell it 10 feet away. Coriander, fruity yeast esters and everything. Mouthfeel was ultra-full and ultra-pillowy. Bananas, citrus and quite a bit of lemon. Spices. Vanilla. Ice-cream. Fluffy and melts in your mouth. So intense that this is almost a sipper. Probably the best Witbier I ever had. The type of White supremacy I can support.
