Hazy straw. Minimal white foam. Phenolic aroma, alongside butter, leaf, straw, heavy yeast notes, and faint pepper traces. Medium bodied. Light carbonation. Starts fairly interesting with light leafy hop notes, followed by notes of mint. Beautiful transition to a long pronounced pale malt, buttery, and coriander finish. Stunningly good.

12 oz bottle. Might have been a month past its date, not sure, the date code was smeared, but I wouldn’t be surprised coming from Total Wine. Anyhoo, poured a golden color, mildly hazy, foaming white head. Didn’t really look like a witbier. I’ve been moving toward an active dislike of the style for awhile now, and this one came just in time to remind me of what is good in these beers. Refreshing nose was big on coriander, with a little citrus and minty wheat, very little phenol, which I appreciate. Flavor was clean enough, with a touch of coriander and zesty wheat, hint of citrus. Clean slightly herbal finish.

I’ve been wanting to try this for quite and finally found it on road trip. Pours copper with an off-white head. Very dark appearance for a wit. Aroma has wheat, spice and citrus. Much fuller aroma than I’ve had from other - the wheat seems much richer. Medium body with sharpness and light carbonation. Starts with rich creamy wheat, some spice and bits of orange. It quickly turns sharp and sour with a tart that reminds me of bitter lemons. The finish continues with the lemon sharpness. A different interpretatin of a white. This is good, but not up to what I had hoped for.

Bottle. Cloudy golden-yellow in colour. Aroma was quite spicy with lots of coriander, wheat, lemons and oranges. Spices dominated the flavour, coriander, pepper and citrus all battled to get noticed as well. A rather yeasty mouthfeel, medium body and high carbonation. Finishes with a lingering peppery bitterness. I thought this was a witbier. It was just a bit too over the top with coriander for my liking but I at least respected it’s quality.

12oz bottle - Pours clear yellow/gold with a very thin head. It has a spicy aroma of coriander and clover with citrus notes as well. The flavor is sweet and spicy with some citrus. It’s medium bodied and leaves a touch of coriander in the finish. Very solid.

12 oz brown bottle from the Beer Store in Moon for $2. Cloudy light yellow with brown thin white head with a tinge of brown. Looks good, yeast particles mysteriously spinning around if poured properly. Pop the lid for a yeasty beer aroma with alky citrus background hints. Good hefe wheat like taste but stronger as far as alky goes, compared to a gentleman wit. More like a hefe not wit. White wheat beer flavor is strong. Good creamy carbonation fizz on the throat. Some medium building bitterness does seem to come across on the finish. A little more offensive personality than I am used to with a mild wit. Overall, good but may not be easily repeatable considering the high alky personality. I think this may be below the average of wits flavors that I have tasted, however, those who like high alky brews will appreciate this representation of the style. Finish is lasting medium bitterness on the back of the throat. Nice rendition of an otherwise strong brew.
