| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours slightly hazy yellowish with a short lived white head. Smell is atrocious with a ton of fake buttered popcorn like butter and just a hint of wheat and not much else. Taste is better than the smell with a nice crisp wheatiness, a bit of citrus and spice as well. Medium body and crisp carbonation, but there is a touch of butteriness to the flavor as well. The smell really kills an otherwise decent beer here. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA

An aroma of corriander and light yeast with a slight hint of sweetness. A slightly citrus flavor with a yeasty clovishness that lends to the overall flavor of this beer. Pretty sweet. A full pallet that has good carbonation. A very good palate, flavor and aroma very good beer. I’m curious to see how I rate it to the other Wits I’ve had. sebletitje (1995), Tampa, Florida, USA

Aroma, spicy and yeasty.
Taste, very sweet and thick. Loaded with nice flavors. Light spices (coriander) and citrus / orange notes.
This is just one amazing wit bier, double the taste, and you get just a full bodied beer. A little stronger than the average wit bier, but this one is extremely drinkable and enjoyable. beerbill (1976), Laurel, New York, USA

12 oz. bottle sampled 6/26/2007. I wonder if my tastes have changed or if perhaps this was a fresher bottle (it had just arrived from the distributor). Hazy light honey color with a moderate white head. Aroma is both sour and sweet with plenty of citrus. More aromatic than I remember. Plenty of citrus in the flavor as well, although I get more lemon than orange. Even though this is labelled a winter brew, I found it very refreshing on a warm summer’s evening.
22 oz. bottle. The Publick House has updated their packaging from the photo provided with this listing. Pours a cloudy, honey color with a thin head. Light, sweet, citrus aroma. Flavor is sweet grass and citrus with some hops bitterness at the finish. Refreshing beer. Original rating: 6,3,7,4,14=3.4.

Sweet aroma that had a yeast bite to it. The taste is sweet with a hint of citrus that blends nicely. big corriander and green grapes on the nose with a touch of lemon. flavors shine the lemon component mostly with some metallic notes as well. Very dry finish. Very solid for the style and for an american version. Very clean and tasty. scraff (1955), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 9, 2003 The early beer discovery days started with Hefe's and Wit's, so I'm still a bit partial. This beer was fantastic! The picture on the left is exactly what you get, maybe a bit more hazy though. Complex nose of apricot, orange, pear, pineapple, and a touch of pepper and corriander. Taste is very similar to smell. Had some fresh bread, doughy, fruity, spicy thing working for me. Loved it. Let the beer warm up a bit first though. That's when it really shines. Medium to full bodied and simply one of the best Wit's I have had in some time. My wife, who is not a huge beer fan, asked when we're getting more? I was shocked to hear her say that! Anyway, worth the effort to get this. If you like this style, you can't go wrong here.
