This belgian witbier is very good. The aroma had a hint of malt, very nice with beautiful notes of orange and curacao - played by a flute. The finish was a citric spicy one. Higher alc content as well, which was unnoticeable. pure player. SECOND TRY 2/27/09. Body definitely not as epic as initially thought. Taste is great - smooth delicious, refreshing. elihapa (1069), Honolulu, California, USA

Pours a clear golden lemon color that is cloudy without being unfiltered. When poured, this beer featured a one-finger head. Smell is of grass, orange, coriander and yeasty cotton candy, if that makes any sense. Body is light and soft, featuring a small pearl carbonation that rolls the flavors into a nice little package. I tasted citrusy orange and lemon, along with coriander and sugar. Finish is sweet, and the alcohol is well-masked. Perhaps not quite as interesting as DDC’s Premiere Neige, but overall, a very solidly crafted beer from Southampton that should stand out amongst Belgian Whites. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 9, 2009 Clear golden body; chunky white head. Aroma of orange peel and banana. Strong coriander and yeast in the flavor, with a solid hoppiness (style considering). Alcohol not really apparent. I wouldn’t call it a ’Double’ in the sense of an IIPA, but it’s a great Wit for those who enjoy assertive beers. obguthr (1067), Poquoson, Virginia, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 10, 2007 Aroma is lemon grass and yeast. Pour is cloudy yellow, thin head, and good lacing. Medicny, definitely Belgian. Bitter lemon and actually a hint of roasted malts then sweet lemon finish. Well made, but not to my liking. Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA

Pours out a hazy lemon yellow color, with a frothy white head. Aromas are of cloves, bananas, slight bubblegum also. Some coriander in the nose, along with cirtus. Flavors are of sweet malts, cirtus, spices. Medium mouthfeel, decent body. Finishes rather spicy. Alcohol is well hidden. probstk (1064), Nepean, Ontario, Canada

Aroma: Citrus, wheat, yeast, orange, sugary
Appearance: Hazy whitish gold color that is typical of this style
Flavor: Sweet, light spice, similar to the nose
Palate: Light-Medium body, pretty light considering the ABV
Overall Impression:
I thought this one was basically a better version (similar characteristics, just a done better) of a Hoegaarden. I liked it, but didn’t love it. jb (1059), Rochester, New York, USA
