The only other beer in recent memory that wore that title was the Real Ale Limestone Wit, which somehow seemed fresher, more citrus-y, and spicier than this example. However, it was quite a nice witbier, especially for American examples of this style, which can be over-sweet for my liking.
Appearance was a slightly hazy lemonade color with a good amount of soft white head. Aroma was rather citrus-y, and definitely spicy. Flavor was mostly clove, with some coriander and a nice amount of citrus. Flavor was pleasant, but not over-stated. Mouthfeel was pretty unremarkable, but not bad.
Recommended.
I bought this at Norm’s Beer & Wine in Vienna, VA during a visit there a few months back. jtw (944), farmington, Michigan, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 4, 2003 Cloudy, yellowish white. Nose of coriander with hints of oranges and apricots. Flavor is quite sweet, with aforementioned notes of coriander/orange/apricot blending together nicely into a tangy pleasure. Some alcohol presence noted, but not badly. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2009 12oz bottle served in a shaker. Hazy golden orange pour with a thin off-white film for a head. Minimal lacing. The aroma had wheat, orange, coriander, and also some spicy/clovey yeast. The flavor was crisp and had notes of fresh wheat, bright orange, coriander, bread dough, and also some spicy yeast. Pretty nice. The palate was medium-bodied and had a light amount of crisp, lively carbonation. A really nice example of the style. rocbyter (926), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA

Little taste in front then gets sweet. Lightly spicy finish. danielcurtis81 (916), San Diego, California, USA

12 oz bottle picked up at FUBOB’s. Appearance is sunshine gold. The nose on this one is full of Belgium yeasts with a holiday spice to it. Flavors follow with a spiced holiday cookie flavor profile.

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Feb 13, 2007 A tremendous effort. This brew takes everything that is great about the wit bier style and doubles it, without eve rsacrificing the drinkability. The coriander and Curacao notes are there in heavy doses, the towering white head, and milky maize color, heavy lacing, and all the qualities that make a great wit beer are wholly intact. The only real differences are slightly heavier mouthfeel and a mildly apparent alcohol content. Could be a session beer, but that % will creep up on you. Trev (895), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA
