This one pours a fairly hazy sun-yellow with a bone white head that doesn’t seem as big as it should be nor does it retain very well. The aroma gets a good bit of coriander, some yeast...fairly spciy aroma overall. The flavor hold a bit more citrus to it...a bit of orange and lemon zest compiled with the yeast and coriander. For the most part it’s pretty much what you’d expect from the style. I think it’s the mouthfeel that throws me off; this beer is heavy for its style. It feels a bit thicker over the tounge where I’d expect a nice refreshing lightness with a crisp finish that isn’t there. It’s almost like a light syrup at times. I understand why this is released in the winter, they made a light style fairly heavy. I’m not sure how I feel about the end result.

12 oz. bottle. Picked up at Macs on West Peachtree. Nice looking wit. Nice dark haze yellow beer. Very thin head that fades away eventually. Looks pretty good to me. Very sweet aroma. Slight banana/yeast aroma with citrus taking over the aroma. Decent aroma. Not extremely pungent, but a decent aroma. Very in your face almost sour yeast, and coriander taste. Mellows out to a smooth banana/yeast taste. A very interesting twist to this. I haven’t really had a witbier with that very sharp sour taste that disappears quickly. Smooth beer, but not one of my favorite witbiers, but still decent.

Just coerced a sample of this today. Hella pale, not really cloudy like some other witbiers. Hell of spicy witbier smell like the standard essentially. Has a big head that leaves quickly. Spicy and citrusy just like other witbiers. Covers the high alcohol with a sweetish taste. Nothing really special except for the high alcohol.

Aroma was very strong wheat/grains, some citrus, grass. Appearance is attractive, a straw colored, hazy beverage, with a tinge of orange. Persistent off white head, a lot of carbonation. Flavor was wheat, citrus hops, a little bit of spice. The palate was a little sour, with a hop crispness. Nice beer overall.

Pours from the bottle to a hazy lemony-yellow, with a tint of orange and a thick white pillowy head that lingers thru mid-glass and leaves very good lacing. Aroma is a very strong, very pleasant mixture of clove and corriander spices, bananas and sugar cookie dough. Mouthfeel is tingly, due to the spices and the flavor is a very pleasant continuation of the nose, all leading to a long, well-rounded finish. I had this beer on a cold night recently in DC and really enjoyed it. It would have to even be better on a hot summer day in ATL.

12 oz. Bottle: Pours cloudy white yellow, a head of fine bubbles, aromas of wheat, malt sweetness and light pear fruit, faint citrus and coriander spice, some faint pepper in the nose, taste of malt-wheat, pilsner, citrus peach-pear, and pepper, small hops on the palate, and the pepper hangs around in the finish, the beer leaves a good lacing on the glass, medium dry on the palate, a tasty white beer

I thought this would taste bigger than it did when i saw double white. Nice light and floral and citrus aroma. A light bitterness and not very sweet at all for being a 7% wit. Pretty good stuff that is refreshing, easy to drink, and still very flavorful.

Comes out of the tap a bright honey yellow, cloudy to the point of opaqueness, with a little white head. Aroma is lemony and wheaty, inviting a taste. Well-rounded flavor is wheaty and pleasantly tart with a strong lemon overtone. Texture is bubbly and lively, and leaves a crisp and lemony aftertaste.
