Very nice cloudy yellow with a small head that laces the glass. Aroma is spices and citrus maybe orange peal. Flavor has the spice and orange with a very nice sour bite. Finishes very dry and crisp. Give me another.

THOUGHTS: The best wit I’ve ever tired. This made all the others seem unecessary. There was way more and better flavor than most, the palate is smoother than most and it even looks nicer and smells less harsh. Almost seem like it could be a new style all it’s own. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a cloudy, medium to dark yellow, depending on the width of the glass, with tons and tons and tons of carbonation and a small to average-sized , white head that fully lasted. The lacing was good, but not in a traditional sense. It was almost like Brussles wool or cotton. It was spotty but thick in spots. The aroma was moderately yeasty with wheat, spices and some banana. The flavor was mostly moderately sweet with some acid and sourness and the finish had an average duration. The flavor was lemon and wheat with a little yeast and a touch of banana too. The light to medium body was somewhat dry and lightly fizzy with a slightly chalky and astringent finish.

Draft at Redlight. Hazy golden colored with a nice white head. Bananas and cloves dominate the flavor with some nice spices hitting mid palate and a finish that is mellow and a little light. I do like this one though. Would be an excellent choice on a nice warm Florida day. Re-rate, bottle. Hazy gold, thick white head that fades to a whispy layer. Coriander, bubblegum, wheat and spice. A little zing but also a touch thin. Was better on draft but still a solid beer for the hot Florida days.

22 oz Bottle-Beer swap 2.0 trade-Pours a very cloudy golden color w/a moderate white head. Strong citrus, floral, doughy aroma. Sweet, citrus, orange, lemon, spicy, flavor w/a lot of carbonation. Has a good kick to it, a lot of character, thick, chewy. Long, long finish. I’d have to say this is the best wheat I’ve ever had!!

POurs hazy yellow. Aromas of citrus, banana, and clove. The fruit salad continues with a nice touch of grain from the malt in the palate and finish.

yellow straw appearance with slight white head. carbonation and haziness are low for a wit. flavor is yeasty and sweet with a rather dry finish. it hides the 6.8% alcohol well, but it doesn’t contain the normal aspects of a wit. i think this one is overrated.

Reviewed 3/25/2009 (Bottle): Pours a pale yellow semi-cloudy body, foamy creamy white head, good lacing, lasting. Aroma is spicy orange zest. Coriander maybe. Enticing. Dusty, musty. Somewhat effervescent. Lemony citrus light carbonation taste. Tasty and refreshing.

Wow. Stronger than I thought, though the name is Double. Tastes like a normal wit. Very citrusy and lemony. Hazy. Foamy head. A good beer, but it would probably be better on tap. I don’t think its better than a Hoegaarden, tho.
