Tasted at Belgium Comes to Cooperstown, July 16, 2005. Hazy blonde with a thin white head. Light bubble gum wheat in aroma. Hoegarden like bubble gum taste, with lemon notes, and sharp alcohol. Medium bodied.

Contract brewed bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is hazy light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with a strong note of coriander, note of lemon zest. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Yikes, way overdone coriander, bland, simple...what the fark???

750 ml bottle (2005) shared with the scintillating, sensational ClarkVV in his humble abode. Furious bubbling action erupts from the yeasty core at the center of the still pale golden body, a dark planet at the center of a bright sun...moderately snowy head graces the lip of the glass, lasting forever and providing opaque sheets of lace...butter cookies, tart lemon, vanilla and subtle spices in the effervescent nose...sensuous mouthfeel with a bitter-honeyish floral character, soft and warming with a bit helping of cookie sugar and cookie-dough yeastiness...acidic lemon and sweet orangepeel prominent in the finish...another absolute gem from Phil & company.

Cloudy bright orange gold body with a large bright white head. The aroma has some rich oranges and light coriander spice. There is also some grassy character that is pleasing. The taste is strong with the orange peels and grass. There is a strong note of the coriander in the finish. The mouthfeel is creamy and thick. Good for the style.

Mild, sweet banana cream pie with lemon/lime citrus in the aroma and light touches of alcohol. Opaque, pale yellow with decent white head that recedes to ring. Banana, lemon, cream flavours. Light spiciness in the finish. Soft and creamy but perhaps a bit still. Carbonation is low for style. Enjoyable, certainly, but not all I was hoping for. Bottle enjoyed with beerbuzzmontreal, MartinT, Rastacouere and a gang of bierophoux.

Atlanta Gathering: Cloudy golden hue with fluffy white head and some lace. The aroma hints of coriander, caradmom, wheat and other grains, touch fruity sour, and dusty yeast esters. The taste has a wonderful balance between spices, sweet malt and light refreshing bitterness. The wheat character is noticed throughout the tasting with a quick hit of citris thrown in. The aftertaste has a lingering bitterness to it. Medium-bodied with a soft but lively mouthfeel. A very nice witbier, very traditional and enjoyable. Recommended.

A 22 oz bottle shared by joebrew, pours a cloudy pale golden yellow brew with a decent white head with good retention. Aroma of citrus peel, wheat, some herb spices, and yeast. Taste is lightly carbonated, light body, some lemon character, and very little wheat. Finish is slightly tart and then a clean aftertaste.

Bottled. Poured hazy pale golden with some chunky sediment and a short-lived white head that settles to a thin film. The aroma was top notch.. rich, toasted banana and wheat notes, lemon accents with some husky notes.. just really well-executed! The flavor was just about on par.. tingly, sour wheat and peppery yeast notes accent sweet toasted banana.. the finish was spicy and very refreshing. Great beer!
