Bottle poured a cloudy yellow/gold with disappearing head. Great lemon spice aroma and the taste was very citrusy. Somewhat dry mouthfeel. Refreshing, summer brew.

07.16.05 Sampled from bomber at BCTC. Thickly hazedd, near opaque pale straw. Fleeting head. aroma is spicy, weeds, corriander, bubblegum, some floral. Really spiced up flavor but plenty of body to keep the spices from settling out too much on the palate. Not much alcohol presence from a double ’anything’. It’s a shame to call it ’double’ because it would be a fantastic plain old wit.

Pours a very cloudy opaque golden yellow with a very creamy white head. Aroma is yeasty with a little lemon peel and spices. Very full mouthfeel. Orange citrus, coriander, light peppery notes and a nice hop finish. Very creamy with a nice balance of light malts. Very nice.

Opaque with haze, mostly untainted by the orange peel and coriander, and enough meat of maltiness to balance the very subtle sourness. I am not a lover of the style, but I would drink about a dozen and a half of these if I could do so without losing consciousness.

Bottle: Courtesy of Shadey via trade. Aroma is a tad light. Contains lemon, wheat, and a hint of spice. Pours a cloudy dull yellow witha decent white head with good retention. Flavor has a nice tart lemon presence throughout. Some wheat is barely detectable. Finish has a nice combination of spice and bitterness. Very nice beer. Aroma is the only thing keeping this out of the 4’s for me.

Heavy yeast aroma when first poured producing a thick white pillow of foam on top. Standard witbier flavor and easy drinking.

A very nice version of one of my favorite styles of beer. This beer is loaded with orange and coriander and has a very fresh malty body to accompany all that flavor and spice near the end. Very cloudy with a wonderful aroma of citrus and spice. A very good beer.

On tap at Capone’s. Pour was murky yellow-orange with a dense white head . Thick lace. Strong coriander and citrus aroma. Tastes like orange and cilantro. A bit peppery and wheaty. Medium/full body. Average carbonation. Dry, slightly tart finish.
