Yeasty, spicy aroma dominated by lemon and orange. Tart, medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel. Taste featured wheat, yeast, citrus, along with some lingerinig sweetness. Good depth, although not overly complex. BBB63 (4274), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 3, 2004 Atlanta Gathering: Cloudy golden hue with fluffy white head and some lace. The aroma hints of coriander, caradmom, wheat and other grains, touch fruity sour, and dusty yeast esters. The taste has a wonderful balance between spices, sweet malt and light refreshing bitterness. The wheat character is noticed throughout the tasting with a quick hit of citris thrown in. The aftertaste has a lingering bitterness to it. Medium-bodied with a soft but lively mouthfeel. A very nice witbier, very traditional and enjoyable. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 13, 2007 Large bubbles cling to the side of my glass, slightly masking this beer’s hazy, deep golden body under a fizzy white head. Delicate florals dance above the top of sharp yeasts with light farmyard notes. Sweet pear and apple notes as well. Tart apple and lemon flavors carried in a light, spritzy body make for a refreshing, summery brew.

Aroma is malty, sweet and spicy. Some clove and lemon notes. I think I also picked up a little barnyard. Flavor was much like the aroma, a sweet lemon grass with a spice twist. Dry finish, felt really good on the palate. Thanks to JCapriotti for sharing. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 10, 2007 ok now. This is the good. Hazy yellow beer with a fluffy white head. Light citrus aroma with some fresh bread. This beer is very much like bread that is fresh but is also with oranges and pie spice. It is not overly sweet and it is not overly good yet still remains to be quite good. Lively carbonation. You buy, you like hooray America! Ughsmash (4095), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 15, 2007 Bottled. Poured hazy pale golden with some chunky sediment and a short-lived white head that settles to a thin film. The aroma was top notch.. rich, toasted banana and wheat notes, lemon accents with some husky notes.. just really well-executed! The flavor was just about on par.. tingly, sour wheat and peppery yeast notes accent sweet toasted banana.. the finish was spicy and very refreshing. Great beer! beerbill (1982), Laurel, New York, USA

12 oz. bottle sampled 6/26/2007. I wonder if my tastes have changed or if perhaps this was a fresher bottle (it had just arrived from the distributor). Hazy light honey color with a moderate white head. Aroma is both sour and sweet with plenty of citrus. More aromatic than I remember. Plenty of citrus in the flavor as well, although I get more lemon than orange. Even though this is labelled a winter brew, I found it very refreshing on a warm summer’s evening.
22 oz. bottle. The Publick House has updated their packaging from the photo provided with this listing. Pours a cloudy, honey color with a thin head. Light, sweet, citrus aroma. Flavor is sweet grass and citrus with some hops bitterness at the finish. Refreshing beer. Original rating: 6,3,7,4,14=3.4.

Pour is standard hazy golden with a white cap. Flavor is good, strong lemony character combine nicely with the belgian yeast. Palate is nice and creamy and finishes well with just a taste of banana. Overall this really got better as it warmed and sticks to style really well.
