This beer pours cloudy and has the color of grapefruit juice. The head is tall, snow-white and slightly creamy looking. The nose has a mild lemon and banana aroma. The smell of this beer makes my mouth water. Umm! This a great beer! It has a tart taste with a clean, crisp feel. The taste isn’t exactly lemon but it’s not exactly orange peel either. The advertised orange peel comes through much more mild than expected. The body is highly carbonated without being like seltzer water. The finish is dry and fruity almost like a wine. All in all this is a well rounded and unique witbier that easily "hangs with the big boys." scraff (1946), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

This beer was fantastic! The picture on the left is exactly what you get, maybe a bit more hazy though. Complex nose of apricot, orange, pear, pineapple, and a touch of pepper and corriander. Taste is very similar to smell. Had some fresh bread, doughy, fruity, spicy thing working for me. Loved it. Let the beer warm up a bit first though. That's when it really shines. Medium to full bodied and simply one of the best Wit's I have had in some time. My wife, who is not a huge beer fan, asked when we're getting more? I was shocked to hear her say that! Anyway, worth the effort to get this. If you like this style, you can't go wrong here. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Hazy Yellow.
The aroma was incredible. Easily one of the best smelling beers I have ever come across. Notes of lemon peel, orange, butter toffee and coriander in the nose.
Flavor was more of the same. Notes of lemon, coriander, caramel, butter toffee and orange. This is by far the best wit beer I have ever had. 1FastSTi (2568), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

Appearance was small particles floating in a murky light yellow body. A white head topped it off. Aroma was VERY spicy, apple, wheat, yeast, bubblegum, hint of sourness (not infected), oranges. Flavor is very spicy. Coriander, wheat, touch of sour apple, touch of bananas. This has to be one of the best Belgian’s I’ve ever sampled. Palate is sour, sweet, medium mouthfeel with good carbonation. bigrond (1052), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA

Nicely spiced not to overpowering - can’t taste a the alcohol at all - good for a double white. definitly buy it again Hazmatt (363), Virginia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Bottle. Bright yellow, not golden but yellow. Like lemonade color. Sour, citrusy, yeasty and bready aroma. Very tangy, orangy taste up front. Mild spice flavor. Takes the softness of wheat and makes it heavy and doughy, it works well. Finishes malty and sweet. Fruity and sour. Good body. Very interesting beer. TuckahoeJoe (12), Tuckahoe, New York, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 7, 2007 I’m generally not crazy about wits...BUT I am about this one! Thsi has so many wonderful attributes: The aroma is sweet, not sour or yeasty. The pou is fine and smooth. The head is white with tiny tight bubbles...and the flavor is what I have always hoped for: all that smooth full body, pleanty of fresh bready flavor with a hint of lemon/citrus. And the wheat dosen’t hit you in the back of the throught. Instead, it just adds complexity to the flavor. A well deserved rating on Ratebeer!!! Scrappy (10), Brooklyn, New York, USA
