Nice crisp maltiness with some subtle hops in the background. A bit more flavor than the Montauk Light, but still not what I was after.

Fresh, clean, grainy malt aroma with light citrus and herbal hop notes. Clear golden body with low white head that recedes to ring. Grainy malt flavour with fresh herbal hops and fair finishing bitterness. Light body with lively, strong carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.

Draft at the Publick House. White cover climbs the clear bright golden robe. Soft cereal nose, kinda ricey in nature with delicate straw and typical hallertau floral, honeyed lime/minty hints. The slightest DMS touch is noticeable, but won’t disturb. Well executed once again with a flavour profile leaning toward the grainy and cerealic malts. Engaging carbonation if not intense, restrained bitterness, good balance.

Tap at SPH. Clear light yellow color with a medium white head. Malty fruity aroma. Malty crisp flavors. Slightly spicy with a nice bitter finish.

A delicious, non-hoppy lager that goes down easy. Medium bodied and one that I truly loved. Munich-style indeed. Experienced at the Southampton Publick House itself on this very day.

On tap at the Publick House: I dont know why this one is rated so much lower than the Dortmunder. This is a very similar beer and is just as good. It is however more delicate and is lower in alcohol so maybe that has something to do with it. Pours very light gold with a small white head. Aroma is of pilsner malt and just a hint of hops. Flavor is very malty but not cloyingly sweet at all. Like I said this is very delicate, but it goes down nice and smooth and is a very quaffable brew. Should change the category to Munich Helles Lager. Pale lager sounds like this should be a BMC equivalent.

Almost clear yellow color (Bud-like). Sweet, light malty taste thats not too sweet and just a little dry. Has a bit of an effervescent mouthfeel although it has a rather smallish head. Very refreshing and very well balanced.
