Commercial Description:
Our imperial, Baltic-style porter is inspired by the strong, dark brews exported from Great Britain to Eastern Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries. Rich and flavorful with upfront notes of chocolate, caramel and toffee.

@ blind tasting - A little thin black body with a red shine, small bubbled beige head; Small slightly metallic, white sugar nose, very thin coffee bean aromas as well; Soft a bit thin body, slightly fruity, a little caramel sugary sweet; Medium long finish with caramel aromas, some unpleasant almost fusel like caramel aroma. Boring and thin.

Bottle. [#3 Blind tasting session @ Sk8viking]. Small beige fizzy head that mostly diminished. Black color. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, light alcoholic feel in the sniff, toffee, licorice, cola, brown sugar and light berries notes. Medium bodied with a flat carbonation. Moderated sweet malty flavor with light bitter notes. Sweet malty finish with a short duration. 07-09-2007

Dark brown, almost ruby in color with a very dense, tan colored head. nice rosted malt and chocolate aroma- some alcohol is apparent. Nice, straight up malt flavors with some toffee/caramel sweetness. Very nice.

Draft @ Barcade. Pours black with a half finger off white head. Nose is very rich and malty. Taste consists of sweet light malts with bits of chocolate and coffee. Very smooth taste on the palate but comes across thinner than I like beefy porters.
