Commercial Description:
Our imperial, Baltic-style porter is inspired by the strong, dark brews exported from Great Britain to Eastern Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries. Rich and flavorful with upfront notes of chocolate, caramel and toffee.

Dark color; nice lace. Light aroma of roasted malt, a bit yeasty. A big flavor of dark caramel, enough roasted malt; elegant and complex. Very good.

Pours dark brown with a small soapy tan head. The aroma has roasted malt, chocolate, prunes and cola. Medium / thick body that is smooth and velvety with a light amount of carbonation. Flavors start off with smooth roasted chocolate malt, malt balls, cream and vanilla. The finish gets a little sharper and adds a touch of spice to the brew. A very solid porter.

Appearance was almost black. Frothy, light brown head that mostly vanished. Aroma was toasted, milk chocolate and mild coffee. A little toofee, as well. This was a really easy drinking beer and not overpowering. The coffee and chocolate aroma and taste reminded me of some RIS, but without the bite.

22 oz. bottle via trade with TBC2 - Pours a dark brown color with a small light tan head that faded in about a minute. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma has lots of esters and light roasted malt. Flavor is chocolate, light roasted coffee, and light esters. Bitterness comes through at the finish. A smooth, medium to full body beer. Very nice. Thanks Matt.

From a 22oz Bottle. Dark black pour with some light ruddy hues and a thin ring of off-white head. Aromas of chocolate nougat, star anise, and some minty hops. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated mouthfeel. The flavors are much more concentrated and intense than the aroma. Rich german chocolate cake, black licorice, and some mexican vanilla bean flood the palate. The body is actually a bit less than expected, but the flavors are incredible. Some coffee mocha liquore warms gently as the silky chocolate malts fade from the tongue, leaving behind a pleasant final smack of minty hops. Thanks, Santa!
