Aroma has a lot of malt to it, there is also some carmel and toffee smells sneaking there way through. The taste is a little bit of choclate, and some more of the carmel toffee malt that showed up in the aroma. There is a little bit of acidity on the mouthfeel (I think that might be some hop bitterness, im not to keen to what its doing to this beer.), but once that passes it is very velvetly and smooth. Overall it is a pretty good beer. Thanks to secret santa...whoever you are.

Bottle. Pours dark with a caramel colored head that didn’t last long. Malty aroma that’s decent, but a tad one dimensional in my opinion. Nice coffee and chocolate notes give way to a very smooth finish. Nice on the palate too, with some fine carbonation and decent texture. Overall, not a bad beer, but it doesn’t drink like an imperial porter. It’s easy to drink but nothing special.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black porter with a small foamy dark head with average retention. Aroma of chocolate is well mix with some roasted malt. Taste is a mixture between sweet malt with slight roasted bitter touch and some smooth chocolate undertones. Creamy texture is really interesting but body is lacking. This is a really good beer that would have been great had there been a more fuller body.

Pours solid black with a small, lingering head. Aroma is coffee and chocolate. Bold roasted coffee flavor with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Light body for the amount of alcohol. A very nice porter.

Courtesy of Kris Kringle. Black with a huge, dense, creamy, light grayish/brown head. Nose of chocolate, roasty caramel/toffee, subtle vinous and lactic notes, wood, licorice, and some earth. Same flavors with some cream, crisp hops in the second half, and just a tint of sourness near the finish. Full/medium body, smooth. Excellent.

22 oz bomber: my first baltic porter I’m sorry to say, but it is really tasty. pours pretty black with ruby accents at the bottom of the glass. Aroma is of caramel, brown sugar, and chocolate. Well done on the standard porter flavors. The malts are really showcased with lots of chocolate, toffee, carmel notes. I also hit some brown sugar type notes. palate is in between meduim and full. Lots of bubbles, but its not fizzy. I truly enjoyed it.

Pours out a dark brown color, small head. Smell is full of coffee, caramel, and thats about it. Taste is very smooth, overly sweet, and full of chocolate. Not too much hops in this one, not very balanced, but its very drinkable. It does not go very well with pizza :) Not bad, Ill drink my other bottle in a few months and see if it changes any, which I doubt.

Very deep red-brown, but clear. Medium tan head. Aroma of toffee and caramel. Didn’t get much in the way of spices. Where’s the hop balance in the nose in this porter? Flavors include smooth chocolate and toffee. Full-bodied and chewy and thankfully not too sweet. The bittering hops save the day.
