Commercial Description:
Our imperial, Baltic-style porter is inspired by the strong, dark brews exported from Great Britain to Eastern Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries. Rich and flavorful with upfront notes of chocolate, caramel and toffee.

A very dark brown beer - though not opaque, with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet roasted with notes of caramel as well as slightly burnt notes. The flavor is sweet roasted with light notes of chocolate and coffee as well as slight hints of soy sauce, and a dry end. For a Porter the body is thin.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of pineypower. Dark brown with a warm, reddish hue and a creamy beige head that leaves a pretty lacework. Sweet aroma of roasted malt and prunes? Medium body with sweet, roasted malts, licorice, some dried fruit - prunes in particular - and absolutely no bitterness. Nice. Perhaps more of a Baltic Porter really. 060407 and 070907

Bottled at RBESG. Very dark brown. Roasty licorice aroma. Sweet with rounded mouthfeel and fairly complex flavour, consisting of tar, chocolate and oranges. Solidly malty with salty finish. Genuinely Polish style.

Almost entirely black in colour. Aroma of chocolate and coffee, with a slight almond note. There’s a hint of toastiness in the palate, but this quickly gives way to a sharper roast note, and hints of hops. Fairly light-bodied for the style, like a classier version of Baltika Porter.

Dark color; nice lace. Light aroma of roasted malt, a bit yeasty. A big flavor of dark caramel, enough roasted malt; elegant and complex. Very good.
