The aroma is sweet roasted with notes of caramel as well as slightly burnt notes. The flavor is sweet roasted with light notes of chocolate and coffee as well as slight hints of soy sauce, and a dry end. For a Porter the body is thin. Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Dark brown with a warm, reddish hue and a creamy beige head that leaves a pretty lacework. Sweet aroma of roasted malt and prunes? Medium body with sweet, roasted malts, licorice, some dried fruit - prunes in particular - and absolutely no bitterness. Nice. Perhaps more of a Baltic Porter really. 060407 and 070907 yespr (12414), Copenhagen O, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 28, 2004 Almost entirely black in colour. Aroma of chocolate and coffee, with a slight almond note. There’s a hint of toastiness in the palate, but this quickly gives way to a sharper roast note, and hints of hops. Fairly light-bodied for the style, like a classier version of Baltika Porter. fiulijn (7460), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
