Okay, so I’ve had a few bottles of this, and I can’t say that I am amazingly impressed by the 2008 release of this beer.
Aroma is coffee with some chocolate, rich and decadent.
Taste is more coffee and sweet chocolate with some ripe red fruit.
I don’t know what it is, but something feels lacking. *frown*
I need to try this on draft. Miver (568), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of coffee and sweet chocolate. Tastes of fresh roasted coffee, nice sweet chocolate with a creamy mouth feel and great body. The alcohol is hidden quite well and from the 1st sip to the last of it, this was everything I was hoping it could be. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Thanks to xmarcnolanx for a bottle and Matt Capone for getting this one in on tap! Rating is for the draft version. Pours a beautiful black with a small head. Aroma is thick and roasty with chocolate, smoke, cherry, and coffee. Flavor is reminiscent of Ten-Fidy but better! Lots of chocolate, coffee and roasty malts. Damn this is good! Mouthfeel is wonderful and the finish is fine. Southampton needs to make this more often! bp (458), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
