A nice head of light brown comes from this one as it’s poured. Opaque black body.
Roast malt, coffee and dark chocolate aroma.
Smooth and rich mouth feel deliver a well balanced brew that coats the tongue. A bit of hop bitterness in the finish. Nicely balanced and it hides it’s alcohol completely. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA

Aroma is moderately sweet, rich chocolate, espresso, some roast, light vanilla. Taste is moderately sweet, roasty chococoffee, some lactose. Some hops in the background lend a semblance of balance, but truly this is about the malts. Smooth medium-full body that holds the alcohol quite well -- I was amazed at how quickly I downed this one. Very carbonated stout. Aroma has tons of chocolate up front, fades to bitter coffee. Flavor is all bitter coffee with some cocoa and roasted grain. Too much coffee for my taste. Salami, roasted malts, and smoke. Intense intense flavor with a very good chocolate finish. Vigorous palate, rich but still revealing some carbonation. Excellent in limited quantities, this is a Imperial Stout of the first order. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA
