Powerful alcoholic nose with fresh coffee, dates, milk chocolate, and vanilla. Flavor is somewhat sweet and lactic with dried cherries, coffee, vanilla, and semi-sweet chocolate. This is a very smooth brew with a bitter aftertaste that cuts through the alcohol. While this could certainly stand another year or two in the bottle, it is still excellent... tgncc (824), Bellmore, New York, USA

The aroma is beautiful, a mix of fruits, raisins, slight roasted coffee., A surprisingly sweet aroma for this style. Th flavor follows the aroma, very sweet, raisins, plums, and a hint of rfosted coffee,. The roastiness suplies ther only bittering noticeable on the finish. The finish liners with sweet fruit, and a slight bitter coffee. The mouthfeel is medium thick, and silky. Beautiful beer overall. RCL (1480), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA
