| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 3, 2009 Bought this in a pac of six bottles. Poured very nice in a glass a wonderful lite amber IPA color with a white forming head. Great flavor of hops and not long lasting. Dry. Good feel in the mouth. Smooth for an IPA. Wonderful. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 28, 2009 Brewed in the USA.....Pours a lite copper color with a thin white head and nice lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops, malts and a hint of pine. Taste kind of tangy with some citrus notes. The mouthfeel is refreshing and finishes with some dryness. Not bad overall, but i was expecting more hops in this brew. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 28, 2009 Pours brilliant clear copper with gold edges and thin off white head. The mild aroma has notes of cherry hard candy, some sweet malts and faint spicy hops. The taste is full and refreshing with rich malts, some roastiness followed by growing yet mild hop bitterness. The spice, slightly citrus and just a bit resiny hop bitterness peaks about midway and fades into the finish outshining the malts. Not terribly hoppy for the style but pretty tasty. elihapa (1067), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Bottle, pours mahogany and honey-brown. Aroma of caramel malt, maple syrup and light esters. Flavor was of sweet apples, with a back-palate roastiness. Finish is dry, opting for more bitter flavors which act to balance this brew very well. Although I much prefer West Coast IPAs, since Southampton’s label explicitly says that this IPA is “traditional”, I do respect the balance and craft that this beer achieves. Solid. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 22, 2009 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with a huge orange-white head. The aroma was a very pleasant mix of strong piney, resiny and fruity hops. The flavor was dryish, bitter, tangy and resiny with notes of peppery and floral hops. Very rough with a long rough floral hop finish. Ok. NaturalIce (115), originally from Michigan, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 18, 2009 Can’t quite put my finger on the aroma - It’s almost more malty than hoppy which baffles me considering it’s an IPA. Hoppy flavor with a dull finish. Decent IPA...
